Kitana from Mortal Kombat like char

Advice

I am trying to find a good mix that emulates Kitana using her fan(s). Was thinking of either ninja, some sort of magus or something else. What do you guys think?

Sovereign Court

Warpriest by default for any weird weapons.

Unchained Monk.

Warpriest of Shao Khan.

Making characters from other things, movies, TV, books, games, is hard. They never seem to be able to do the things you already envision them doing...

However: say, 20pt buy, 12th level (you are in a multi-dimensional deathmatch for ultimate power, 12th level is the LOW end for this)

Str 10 Dex 18 Con 14 Int 13 Wis 12 Cha 16 (+2 2 stats, give up feat)

There's a bladed fan in one of the books. I think the one in Inner Sea World Guide had a better Crit range, but I don't have it with me so can't verify.

Unchained Monk 5/Ninja 7

Feats, WF (Fan), Slashing Grace (Fan), Expertise, Imp Crit (Fan), Two Weapon Feint, ITW Feint.

Kitana (Royal Storm style, Mortal Kombat X)
Warpriest of Shao Kan:

-Fighting Fan (So the damage will keep increasing) Pick it as your sacred weapon.

You'll need to pick up EWP (fighting fan), so your first feats are most likely twf and double slice. If you are playing a Human with a bonus feat or if you play a half-elf ancestral arm would allow you to pick Fighting Fan as your ancestral weapon [alternate racial trait]

I would recommend going the half-elf route to get the bonuses early from sacred weapon.

Weapon focus (Fighting fan), then Two weapon fighting, followed by Double Slice, Dual Enhancement (so both weapons get enhanced).

Select Weather and Air Blessings, they fit the royal storm style.

The fighting fans have a critical modifier of x3, I would recommend to get critical focus when you can.

The fan-nado move is the Wind barrier that you get from Weather Blessing.

Beside that, spells like Air Walk, blessing of fervor, divine fervor would come in handy.

So, Fighting Fan:

Exotic, Light, 1d4 Slashing and Piercing, Monk Weapon, Distracting Weapon. The weapon description suggests poisoning them.

You can acquire Fighting Fan via the Exotic Weapon Proficiency, but if you take 1 level in Fighter with the Unarmed Archetype, you automatically become proficient in all Monk Weapons.

Monk Weapons can be used with Flurry of Blows, so you might consider being a Monk. But there is no particular advantage in having 2 Fighting Fans if you are using Flurry of Blows. Also you can't use Flurry of Blows when you are wearing Armor, so if Flurrying is in your plan, Armor isn't.

Distracting Weapons grant a +2 bonus to Bluff Checks to Feint in Battle, so Ninja with its Sneak Attack Damage is a solid choice. Ninjas also gain poison use. So do Alchemists, and Vivisectionist Alchemists also have Sneak Attack and Poison. The Snakebite Striker Brawler Archetype also gets Sneak Attack. What I'm thinking is 1 level in Ninja followed by 1 level in Vivisectionist followed by 1 level in Snakebite Striker, so your Sneak Attack Damage goes up 3d6 in 3 levels.

There is a magic item that you should look at: the Mask of Stony Demeanor. It costs under 1000gp. It gives you +5 on Bluff Attempts make to Feint in Combat. It does other things, too, but that's why I brought it up.

There is a Rogue Talent: Honeyed Words. 1/day +1 per 5 Rogue levels, you can roll your Bluff Check 2X and take the better result.

There are a lot of other very powerful options for Ninja Tricks and Rogue Talents.

Since Fighting Fans are Piercing Weapons, you can use them with Hamatula Strike. As a Ninja you can wear light armor. Get Armor Spikes, and you will do Armor Spike Damage with every successful Grapple. It's easy to work a powerful grappling build into almost every martial character, and it's not inappropriate for any Mortal Kombat character.

Pretty cool idea, xDemoquinx: you make me want to make Kitiara from Mortal Kombat.

I'd do Snakebite Striker Brawler 2/Cult Leader Warpriest X. The brawler levels will get you sneak attack, flurry, a bonus feat, a boost to reflex saves, and proficiency with the fighting fan.

Warpriest will give you the boost to Will saves you're lacking (and a great Fort save overall) and the Cult Leader has a good set of skills compared to a standard warpriest. You'll need to make your level 3 feat Weapon Focus (fighting fan) to get the Warpriest damage. You'll also get more sneak attack dice, too, starting at character level 5 and increasing from there.

You can go regular warpriest, too, which will give you more bonus feats and better armor proficiencies, but it doesn't seem as Kitana-like to me. The light armor works well, too with a mithral chain shirt.

Human Brawler Warpriest
Str: 13
Dex: 17
Con: 14
Int: 12
Wis: 14
Cha: 8

I'm almost certain there's a disciple or two that can help with this in PoW.

When my friends and I theory craft characters like this, we try to keep to the "spirit" of the character instead of a direct literal translation. For Kitana, we kept with the Assassin theme and stuck with fans and daggers as her weapons instead of trying to shoehorn in a proficiency with unarmed strikes. We just used levels in Ninja for sneak attack, the Assassinate ability for flavor, and for a focus in Charisma.

@OP: is Pathfinder a requirement?

For more cinematic or over the top style, you may want to consider using a more generic / universal rules set such as Hero System or GURPS (Supers/Martial Arts)

Great ideas so far, living it. Is there any way to get monk unarmed dmg for close group? Or monk weapons?

Brawler hybrid class gets monk level-4. It's a pretty good class for kitana anyway.

Warpriest also gets die size increase for a chosen weapon.

Take Brawler to 5 and all Close weapons deal the unarmed strike damage of your brawler level -4. Not worth aiming for unless you are going full Brawler though. I'd go:

Brawler (Snakebite Striker) 2/Ninja for the rest, picking up Brawler 3 if you plan on feinting. Osyluth Guile would be a solid feat choice, as would the rogue talent Offensive Defense.

a ranger is a very fine fit honestly. Kitana was a finesse fighter and being handed out TWF feats is a hard thing to pass up. the skills match up even better and at worst all you have to do is dip a level of monk if you want unarmored.

Another perspective would be for her to be represented by a war-sighted battle oracle with haunted curse. She was very attractive and smooth talker but was a lethal killing machine with her weapons. The curses also bring levitate and such to represent her signature moves from MK2.

So far i am thinking of using this type of build that some have suggested.

Human Brawler 2-3/ Ninja 9-10

Stats: 10, 16(+2), 12, 10, 11, 15 (Could add a +2 here if a feat not needed)
BAB +9
Feats : IUS (free), WF Fan, Slashing Grace, Expertise, Feinting Flurry,
Imp Feinting Flurry, __________, ______________
4 Ninja Tricks : Vanishing, Pressure Points, Bleeding Attack (9), Offensive Defensive
Traits: ____________, ___________

Specials: Martial Flexibility 4/day, +5d6 SA, Poison Use, No Trace +2, Uncanny dodge, Ki Pool 7-8, Light Steps

What kind of equipment should i use for her? Thinking of using just the one fan since BF doesnt need 2 weapons. OR could i hold another one to receive another +2 feint and not use it for attacking or flurrying.

Does Offensive Defensive give in this case, +9 AC or add up all sneak attack dice in that round for AC? Is the Martial Flexibility worth it for this build? If not I could go SnakeBite for another 1d6 SA.

Fixed a few things, like needing agile maneuvers if grappling is even worth it.

Human Brawler 2/ Ninja 10

Stats: 10, 16(+2), 12, 10, 11, 15. Add 2 dex, 1 cha or wis
BAB +9
Feats : IUS (free), Finesse, Agile Maneuvers, Expertise, Feinting Flurry, Imp Feinting Flurry, Imp Grapple, Gtr Grapple, Strangler
4 Ninja Tricks : Vanishing, Pressure Points, Bleeding Attack (9), Offensive Defensive, Crippling Strike
Traits: ____________, ___________

Specials: Martial Flexibility 3/day, +5d6 SA, Poison Use, No Trace +2, Uncanny dodge, Ki Pool 8, Light Steps

I have a few ways of getting sneaks with this build, and if all goes well, Will add 9 bleeding, +9 AC, and -3 STR each hit. I can feint (if succeed rest of attacks are sneaks), grapple (can maintain with a move, so 2x sneaks per round, vanish and or stealth

Silver Crusade

I am making a similar character, I will share my build.

Charlatan Unchained Rogue 5/Cleaner Slayer 8

Feats
Human Combat Expertise
1 Two-Weapon Fighting
3 Piranha Strike
5 Two-Weapon Feint
7 Improved Two-Weapon Fighting
9 Improved Two-Weapon Feint
11 Improved Critical: Fighting Fans
13 Two-Weapon Rend

Rogue Talents:
Weapon Training: Fighting Fans
Ninja Trick: Pressure Points

Slayer:
Ranger Talent: Double SLice
Blood Reader
Ranger Talent: Two Weapon Defense
Combat Trick: Greater Two Weapon Fighting
Bonus (from FCB) Foil Scrutiny

Traits: Adopted: Dirty Fighter (Orc) - for the +3 trait bonus to feinting, and Reactionary

Yes I know Fighting Fans are exotic. Cracked Opalscent White Pyramid Ioun Stone turns them into Martial weapons.

I like that trait Dirty Fighter. Bonuses are really starting to add up :)

For the first time ever, the Warpriest actually intrigues me! That's quite an accomplishment. Very nice work.
