slime grenade for reference.
Ran Emerald Spire with a level two alchemist who had two of them. The damage isn't absurd, but the damage to items... wow. How to disarm the BBEG in one pop.
They saved the party from a TPK, and I at least got to see it eat the archer's 600 GP bow when the bad guy grabbed it to shoot and the alchemist tossed the other grenade. But wow.
(for quick reference, a greatsword has 10 hp per my item sheet, a metal hafted weapon has 20. A bow has 5)

By your reference, it sounds like the grenade should only affect armor and shields.

ok that is how its written but thats just insane.. Sorry your plate mail armor and shield dissolves from acid bomb but your longsword in the other hand is perfectly fine..
Its much easier to hit that 3 foot by 6 foot human covered in the armor than it is to hit his 3 inch wide sword.

Unfortunately, any armor worth dissolving in slime has so many HP that it's pretty hard to do that. Armor has it's bonus * 5 HP, and every +1 enhancement adds another +10hp.
However, I'm sensing an interesting Sunder build, opening with slime grenades followed by a one-handed weapon attack with a bonus...

I'm sensing a nasty trick for Underground Chemist Rogues to pull off. It's called Full Attacking with Slime Grenades. "Hey, that guy in the full plate? He's getting hit by X slime grenades. Each one does 2d6+Int to him, 3d6+Int to his armor."
Two weapon fighting... Haste effects... Rapid Shot... 6ish throws with the first one doing sneak attack... Pretty disgusting.
EDIT: Nin-ja!
