Grandmaster Torch mission briefing

For older scenarios where Grandmaster Torch gives the mission briefing, but is otherwise not involved in the scenario, should we leave him in there, or use another Pathfinder associate?

Technically, we're supposed to leave him in there as players may or may not be aware of Torch's history.

Wavey lines for a flashback?

Start the party off in the bar, getting drunk, "Hey, you remember that time that..."

Have anemopheuous send you to do torch a favor as repayment for something.
