Galileo Quartzhammer, CG Dwarven Oracle (Stargazer), heavens mystery, haunted curse.
Hands down the most convoluted character build ever. He was originally made for RoW First I rolled his abilities, took them as they rolled, at first I started with Doctor Who as my base, Time Oracle, while paging thru a name book I offhand mention to my wife "Galileo is a cool name" my wife says, "oh as a dwarf" I then failed my Will save (I have a -5 penalty for dwarves and Halfling suggestions) so Dwarven Doctor Who was born, however it's hard instilling Doctor Who, when you barely paid attention when your dad watches it every Sunday.
So after RoW folded due to low morale (winter has been brutally cold and long last couple years) I brought him back as Andoran's Fox Mulder for Iron Gods, however at the last second I made him more like Sterling Archer :-)

NO. THEY ARE NOT. ESPECIALLY NOT MY CHAOTIC EVIL CANCER MAGES WHO START OrPhAnages and charity works and organize government councils to eliminate corruptions via proper channels...
Sh-SHUT UP. You don't know me, man! >:I

You don't know evil. I had an antipaladin so villainous in Skull and Shackles that the GM brought him back as a graveknight ten levels after he died when we least expected it to steal our ship, torture our crew, and more. We come to a graveyard of ships to find crew strung up all over various masts and stuff, no single NPC having less than a hand removed with the wounds cauterized, etc...Why? So we couldn't throw area of effect spells when his lacedons came from all directions without killing crew members that even if we saved would be functionally useless. And of course for fun he channeled negative energy to slaughter groups at a time to get us to come to him.
I approved of how the GM interpreted him but he didn't make him happy enough while he did it. This guy did, after all, regularly skin victims alive in his downtime. He died when the Calistrians got on to the fact that so many of their girls started disappearing, particularly after one day the temple was decorated with their entrails saying "Besmara is better in the sack". They set up a brilliant ambush...

Well, my heroes tend to devolve into vengeful antiheroes over time anyway. For example my CG oracle of life just got tired of dealing with the dickery of the Shackles and got more jaded with time, and eventually was like "F*** it, I'm not a cleric, I get my powers no matter what. You guys cut him open until he talks, I'll keep him alive until he wishes he were dead. I don't have time for this crap any more. I tried talking nicely with you, but if you want to be a stubborn dick, I can work with that, too."
In 3.5 I had a NG druid who went to N when his half brother died out of vengeance, etc, and eventually NE because the GM was pissing me off with his interpretation of what is and isn't the correct way to interact with an animal companion, so I said, "f*** it, I'm evil then, I don't need this crap. Now animals are a tool for me to use. Happy now?" (In my defense that GM was a dick who treated everyone like crap except the girl he was boning at the time.)
I'm noticing a pattern, in hindsight. My efforts to do good, when hit by a wall, usually result in "f*** it, I don't need this crap," and then a shift downward in alignment.
...*thinks about all previous characters* hmmm...neutral, neutral, good then downshift to neutral to evil...evil...evil...good then downshift to neutral...
...Yeah, that's like 3/4 of what happens to my good characters in retrospect.

I like Batman, but I prefer the Punisher because he steps outside of right and wrong and does what will make the world a better place, even if it makes him indivually a worse person. There is no benefit to the revolving door prison system, Arkham, etc. Two in the chest one in the head and you never would have to deal with the Joker again.

Rule of GMing - reward the behavior you want to see more of. If you want player to play good, heroic characters, make good and heroism work. Punish them, make torture and murder the most or only effective ways to succeed and you don't get characters who rise above those tempations or perish holding to their code - you get characters who survive and win by those rules. Paranoid, amoral jerks.
And talk to your players. Find out how they want to play. Does the good character want his morals to be constantly tested and challenged? Then do it. If he wants to be the shining hero, saving and redeeming people, let him do that. Don't make him rely on torture to save others.

Oddly, the Punisher seems to have recurring villains too. Not as many, but that's because he doesn't have a dozen regular monthly titles.
It's a comic book trope, not a moral test. Besides, the number of times the Joker's "died", has to be in the dozens. Two in the chest, one in the head and 2-3 years later a new writer would want to use him and concoct an excuse to bring him back.

PbP games are fun, take almost no time out of your day to participate in at a time, and are something that can potentially provide entertainment throughout your entire workday.
You lose nothing by joining one, and might actually have some fun. So why not?

I figured since for a DM alcohol had no negative side effects, and you can find dirt cheap alcohol, using tea instead wouldn't be much of a stretch.
Other tea-flavored characters I can think of:
-Geisha, obviously, but it should be buffed because that archetype blows
-Treesinger druid, as mentioned before, with an ambulatory Camellia Sinensis plant (which I totally call dibs on)
-Alchemist, Mutation Warrior, Investigator, Mutagenic Mauler, etc, with his own "special brew"...not as thematic, honestly, but if they grab infusion and can share...
-Drunken brute/rager...this takes a little more creativity, but if you reflavor rage as intense focus, caffeine power works...Or he just chugs like a gallon of matcha green and tweaks like a meth head.

Sadly, shambling mound is not a treesinger sidekick option, and I'm having a hard time figuring which one would best represent a Camellia Sinensis ambulatory tea bush. I've heard they grow pretty darn big, so maybe treant?
Camellia Sinensis is an evergreen shrub or small tree that is usually trimmed to below 2 m (6.6 ft) when cultivated for its leaves. It has a strong taproot. The flowers are yellow-white, 2.5–4 cm (0.98–1.57 in) in diameter, with 7 to 8 petals.
The seeds of Camellia sinensis and Camellia oleifera can be pressed to yield tea oil, a sweetish seasoning and cooking oil that should not be confused with tea tree oil, an essential oil that is used for medical and cosmetic purposes, and originates from the leaves of a different plant.
The leaves are 4–15 cm (1.6–5.9 in) long and 2–5 cm (0.79–1.97 in) broad. Fresh leaves contain about 4% caffeine.[10] The young, light green leaves are preferably harvested for tea production; they have short white hairs on the underside. Older leaves are deeper green. Different leaf ages produce differing tea qualities, since their chemical compositions are different. Usually, the tip (bud) and the first two to three leaves are harvested for processing. This hand picking is repeated every one to two weeks.
However, from here:
The China plant grows best in cool temperatures on steep mountain slopes. In fact, it thrives at elevations up to 9,500 feet. Because of the climate and elevation, the China plant will typically grow to between 5 and 15 feet tall, if left unattended, and produce leaves up to two inches long. The short mountain growing seasons yield a smaller crop of more tender leaves that yield a sweeter, less astringent cup.
So! Let's do this!
Looking at Size Categories to find a 15 ft. tall thingy shows us they can range from "medium" to "huge" nope, misread it large size! Woot!
Type gives us a very long list of plants!
Compare that to Mountain Terrain (excluding warm, due to their preference of "cool"), and we come up with...
2) Quickwood
3) Dragonleaf tree
Hm. Well, let's look at what we've got.
First:
- Jinmenju get up to size huge... okay, good so far. strike one!
- aaaaaand that's it. That's literally all that I can find that they have in common.
Next:
- Quickwood gets up to size huge... good, yes, go on... nix!
- it's a giant oak tree that eats you: no.
Last:
- the Dragonleaf tree gets up only to size "large" but also caps out at 15 ft., so that works out.
- it's an oak; nope.
So, now I'm going to the database tool to see what we got.
Large plants include the alraune (uh...), ascomoid (no), assassin vine (nah), bloodsuckle (nope), "bloodsoaker vine" (can't find it), cobra flower (no), forester's bane (this isn't bad! ... except it can't move. :/), fountain fungus (not gonna bother - it's a fungus), Fungus Weird (same - no), nirento (eeeehhhh....), Rakewood (gah, no, fungus), sargassum fiend (just a big ball of seaweed), serpent creeper (serpentine vine), Shambling Mound (already nixed), Splinter Drake (it's a dragon-plant with a leaf-mane), Strangle Weed (still seaweed), Viper Vine (still a snake-vine), Widow Creeper (it's a black widow made out of plant), Witherweed (grass and weeds; how dull), Yellow Musk Creeper (be the only druid-necromancer with zombies! ... but it kind of works...).
List of things too big includes: algant (seaweed, nope), Banyant (totally wrong climate/look/etc.), Barometz (ambulatory ram-plant), cactant (it's a cactus), calathgar, canopy creeper, corpse lotus (maybe),
List of things too little, includes: algoid (living algea, no), archer bush (wrong area, but not bad; small), basidirond, blood bush (again, not horrible, but changes would need to be made), bog creeper (fungus), boruta, cerebric fungus (no), etc.
So, before I was, shall we say, "smart", I compiled all of that.
Let's look at the archetype itself: I really should have done this first:
Carnivorous Flower (small -> medium); "rage" could s(t)imulate a "caffeine high" of sorts (though not very well, considering a plant is immune to it... >.>)
Crawling Vine (medium -> large); no abilities really "grab" me, here (heh, see what I did there)... so not likely...
Puffball (Floating Fungus) (small -> medium); the "poison" approach actually could work, especially if the GM allows it to be a very tiny little bit more drug-like than poison-like (to better imitate caffeine's addicitive properties), but that's really it
Sapling Treant (medium -> large); no particularly stand-out abilities, but this is otherwise the most "solid"-seeming option (to me), visually.
While they don't show any but the treant sapling... it actually kind of works.
That said, if you're open to complete re-fluffing, I would recommend the "floating fungus", altering the poison property to something more mild (maybe even benign*), and maybe altering its size to one step larger. Then you'd have a sacred floating tea plant, which'd be pretty cool.
But, uh, otherwise, it's totally the treant. Like, by a lot.
* Though it'd have to be either non-mechanical, in which case you'd need a better attack/stat-spread; or maybe change it from a poison to a mild buff...

By the way, what do you guys think of me switching to this alias as a default? The thought crossed my mind a couple times.
Not gonna lie, I do love this alias.
You're in America, and I'm on the east where it is nowhere near sleep time for anyone over age 10, (and its even earlier in the rest of America) so I imagine you must have been burning the midnight oil last night.
Try "5 AM oil". First time playing Bioshock, you see... >.>
(Also, no matter how hard I tried, I wasn't able to get to sleep anyway - coughing kept me awake.)
((Also, we're both east-coasters, I'm just "middle-of-the-state" east-coaster, compared to your "actually-east-coast" east-coaster. :D))

Well, presuming I'm on board for this (and I probably am), with Rynjin and TL/STG in, that makes three players, and Beernorg for GM. We need 1-3 more for a full party.
Where are we gonna find another person...?
Ive never wanted to PbP until now and only with this lot
Hmm....?
