So I was thinking about something that I've found somewhat interesting. The idea mixes crafting a custom construct that has a ranged force attack, a move, swim and fly speed, DR and, due to being a Shield Guardian, fast healing.
The class would likely be a Magus. Any ideas as to how to make this happen? I am aware that there would be 3 feat slots used for crafting feats (Wondrous item, magical arms and armor, and construct) so it would be limiting in that way.
Are there rules for specifically making constructs?

Well like many people mentioned before for iron man, there is this:
Construct ArmorRequirements: Craft Construct, Craft Magic Arms and Armor, animate objects, the construct modified must be the same size as the creator
CR increase: +1
Cost: 35,000 gp
This modification allows the construct to be worn like armor by its creator. So long as the creator wears it, the construct performs no independent actions, remaining under the control of the creator, and any attacks directed at the wearer first damage the construct. When a construct is destroyed while serving as armor, the wearer loses all the benefits, but regains all the hindrances until the armor is removed, which takes the same amount of time that removing breastplate armor does. If the construct is still active, the creator can order the removal of the armor with a swift action, at which point the construct leaves the creator’s space and enters a space adjacent to the creator. Donning construct armor takes a full-round action if the construct is still active. The creator cannot don a construct with this modification if the construct has been destroyed. The construct’s wearer retains his base attacks and saves. Construct armor counts as breastplate armor for purposes of determining AC, weight, Dexterity modifiers to AC, and chance of arcane spell failure.
Only problem it is fairly expensive, mostly why most people just end up using Synthesis Summoner.

The person who flies the armor doesn't have to be the one who makes it. Ask Jim (War Machine) Rhodes about it sometime. My Eldritch Knight wears magitek armor that she did not make herself, in fact no one living in the present in the world she comes from has the ability to do so any more.

Remember also that the original Ironman in the older comics, didn't have a suit that talked back to him. It was simply red and yellow powered armor with flight, weapons, sealed life support and accessories which would be Schrodingered as plot demanded.

Hmm, I was thinking of trying to implement a dark horse ensemble of villains into my GM's Kingmaker campaign. More or less creating characters that are interesting, quirky or fun in some way.
My current idea is:
STEEL!. STEEL! is a parody of professional wrestling, he refers to himself in the 3rd person, typically yelling his own name akin to the Rock. The most likely thing that would change as the PCs leveled up between battles with STEEL! would be his damage and to hit with his construct's ranged attack. He'd be a personality as inflated as they come. Perhaps not so ironically, STEEL! could probably be won over if the party builds an arena and tells him to come perform in it. Though that would depend on what kind of kookiness the GM wants to implement.

I did it in a gestalt game with a gnome synth//grenadier alchemist. Jarvis was going to be my tumor familiar. I could retool the suit/familiar by tinkering in the lab.
A regular ol' magic breastplate, magus class, and various wondrous items could make it work, too. Get some sort of mechanic to refill the arcane pool in place to get more endurance.
