Is there a way to deactivate aliases?

As the tittle say.

I would like that some of the aliases that I have created over time to not appear as an option in the "post as" list.

Currently there is no way to organize/de-activate aliases. However, it's possible it may be revisited since this is a commonly requested feature.

Ok. Thanks.

Actually there is a 3rd party add on for Firefox or Chrome that will allow you do show/hide alias under your main ID. Those that you hide will normally not show up in your "post as" list.

LINK to the thread for this add on.

It sound great. I already downloaded it but not sure how to hide an alias.

I'm less concerned with the post-as drop down, since the alias I need normally populates at the top of the list, but my aliases tab is a bit cluttered and noisy at this point.

I was wondering if structuring the Aliases tab similar to the Campaigns tab, with a section at the bottom where aliases that haven't been editted or posted-as for [insert arbitrary length of time here] could be listed would be fairly low-impact as far as behind-the-scenes coding is concerned? I don't know jack about coding apart from the fact that changing one thing often breaks a dozen others =P

But if the Aliases tab could be organzied to have the active aliases with their portraits up top (displayed as all the aliases currently are), and inactive ones just listed as hyperlinks at the bottom, that'd go a looooooong way in de-cluttering that tab!

I have some pretty similar ideas about getting aliases organized on the tabs actually, and have a few wishlist items for the tech team, but it's gotta be scheduled in their queue. Some people have quite a few aliases set up and it'd be really valuable to have those displayed in a more human-friendly way for sure :)
