Just got my #1 & #2 issue of Pathfinder Origins.
Can someone enlighten me as to why PF Origins#1 - VALEROS has AMIRI on the cover and PF Origins#2 - KYRA has SEELAH on the cover?
And if, by some chance, someone is going to say they're Paizo variant covers, if true it's a very bad idea. I'm cool with variant covers but putting a different iconic on a book about another iconic is disappointing and confusing to say the least.

Maybe you might not have noticed, but every issue of Pathfinder comics has TONS of variant covers.
No kidding.
If it is a "correct" variant cover, it would have been nice for it to be a variant cover of the iconic that the issue is about.
However, it does appear that Amiri and Seelah at least feature into the story of the issues, so I guess the "don't judge a book by its cover" axiom holds true. Still, I'd have preferred variants focused on the primary character.

I think the aim was to introduce a new character as part of the backstory of the iconics known to the comic readers - it's probably not confusing to those learning about the world via the comics, since the pictured character is just a protagonist, starring in a story about the named iconic.
My way of parsing it is that the named iconic is more narrator - the pictured iconic is actually the "star" of the issue.

I'll add a speculation that they also felt it was a good opportunity to put some of the other iconics on the comic covers in such a way that the audience who received them wouldn't be confused as to why somebody who's not a regular character is taking up cover space (going on the assumption that people who subscribe through Paizo, generally speaking, are more knowledgeable about the Pathfinder world).
