I've noticed that a lot of people who like to think themselves superior to others pretend that their position is the result of pure logic, while their opponents is that of invalid emotional reasoning.

Which is nonsense, of course. Conservative positions are based on emotions just as much as liberal ones are. Emotions are what we humans use to make decisions. We don't generally use logic. Only in some very limited realms is logic used, and even then it's used to make logical inferences based on premises chosen by means other than logic (such as 'human life has inherent value', 'causing harm to others is wrong', 'freedom has inherent value', 'god exists', etc.)

Spock was always only PART of the equation. He had logic on his side, McCoy had Passion on his, and Kirk was in the middle making decisions.

Spock always pushed that Logic was the 'right' way to go, but Kirk rarely EVER followed his advice and the ship was better for it. More often then not it was his human half leaking through that showed how his emotions made him BETTER then the standard cold full-blooded Vulcans.

Actually Kirk DID follow Spock's advice occasionally. The only person he absolutely never followed was McCoy, at least not until the movies. Which is just as well as following McCoy's advice during TOS would have been disastrous.

The movies I won't address because with the exception of Wrath of Khan, they all pretty much sucked donkeyballs as far as storywriting went.

I'm pretty sure my mice have regeneration. I've only gone through two since moving here to Ocala!
