Did you back the Pathfinder Online Kickstarter without planning to play?

Video Games

If so, you might be sitting on some money.

There are lots of people looking for the PFO kickstarter accounts (I'm not one of them, but some friends are) and some would happily pay more than you did for just your characters, with you hanging on to all the other goodies.

There are almost always "want to buy" threads open in the sub forum, and you are welcome to create your own offer to sell if you prefer.

You could make yourself some money while making someone else happy.

Since I have not been paying attention to the PFO stuff at all I have no clue what kind of account I have or what I have for free. I know it is time and stuff.

If you log in to Kickstarter and go to pathfinder kickstarter, you'll be able to see how much you pledged, and if you scroll down the list of levels on the right side, you'll find a spot where it says something like "You pledged at this level". That info will tell most of the folks on the site the info they need to bargain.

Otherwise, if you have set up an account at Goblinworks, tied to your Kickstarter Email, you will be able to see it there. got to goblinworks.com, log in, then where you see "[your name] Account, click that, and then "view all rewards on my account"

Here's a shortcut to that page: (after logging in to Goblinworks), go here

Or, look for an email about two years ago with a subject: "Thanks for becoming a backer of Pathfinder Online"

Yup like I said, I have time and Stuff, no clue what any of it is.

Edit: Well I see the names of what it is but it means nothing to me.

If you share said names, people here might be able to decipher it and tell you what they'd pay for it. :P

I gave 20 bucks for the super dungeon if that gets me any thing in game I would be willing to sale or trade it away

I paid into both kickstarters, but really have not much interest in playing. The game just didn't really develop in the direction I originally hoped.

Silver Crusade

Played recently and stopped my subscription for the moment, I really don't have to time right now, and this seems to be one of those games, where the interaction with other players is the most important thing.

Edit: Just had a quick look around in the PFS part, and I think this very informative post describes it pretty well, at this point the game is just to bloody intransparent for my taste (some time, UI improvemements and some in game help database for the keywords would help)

Well I might make someone happy.

My 'Cleric-based' technique I teach in my PFU class on Travelling safely has a LOT in common with what Midnight laid out above.

-Never use public channels to discuss travel plans.

I advise new folks to spend 5 hours of exp on moving faster. It really can save your life: (buy in this order ftw)

Seminary Trainer: 263exp
Focus Proficiency 1
Hit Points 1 & 2
Power 1 & 2
Divine Attack Bonus 1
Agile Feet 1
Minor Cure 1

Dreadnaught Trainer: 49 exp
Medium Armor Proficiency 1

Cleric Trainer:188 exp
Evangelist 1
Holy Symbol Proficiency 1
Travel Domain 1

Once you have all that stuff slotted, switch to your implement to populate the hotbar and UNSLOT the Agile Feet and Minor cure with 'charging' in their description, (they can put you under the world) then use this technique:

“R, Ctrl, Right-mouse, buff up”

1) 'r' to engage Autorun,
2) 'ctrl' to engage sprint,
3) hold the right mouse button and steer with your mouse,
4) '1' (w/e hotkey for Agile feet) keep that buff up as continuously as possible
You must navigate via the mini map, looking at your main screen/world map for a check on your surroundings whenever the mini map shows you have a clear path for a bit. Using autorun forces you to stay alert for mobs/PCs, and it lets you type in chat or sip your drink while you travel too ;)

It means you had the $100.00 Account and have Destiny's Twin and four months of time covered, and anyone that buys it can play immediately without having to upgrade for early access. You shouldn't take less than $100.00 for it, and can probably get quite a bit more if you want to fish around a bit.

Same here, same here. (Well, only backed one kickstarter.)

Guess I gotta go see what exactly I have.

Is there some "how to give your privileges to someone else" post somewhere?

I pledged at the $35 reward.

I don't really have the time to play - is what I have worth anything?

Pathfinder Maps, Pathfinder Accessories Subscriber; Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Charter Superscriber; Starfinder Charter Superscriber

So, I could sell my account to, I guess. The Goblinworks site says my account is inactive, but that probably just means that I just haven't used it to play.

Here's my names and stuff (pledged at the $100 level):

Spoiler:

Kickstarter credit: $15.00

Reward Quantity
New Player Pack 1
Destinys Twin 1
Daily Deals 1
Early Enrollment 1
Soundtrack Download 1
1 Month game time 4
Alliance Pack 1
Head Start 1
Shield Mate 1
Behind the Scenes PDF 1
Character Name Reservation 1

I don't really have time and interest to play, so I'm not averse to selling it.

I wanted the books and the mini's not the game so yes I have an account I did try one day to play but just couldn't get into it maybe I'll try again someday.

Hm, I just tried to read a few threads from the PFO forum, but I couldn't understand a word what they are even talking about. Might've as well been Chinese.

I pledged 15 is that worth anything?

Grand Lodge

Probably not. I don't think us $15 pledgers got any special PFO account goodies, so it wouldn't be any different than a non-KSer opening an account. I could be mistaken however.

On double-checking I only backed the first kickstarter so I don't have anything special. Oh well.

RPG Superstar Season 9 Top 16

I have little intention in playing the game anyway because I'm not happy with subscription-based games. A big reason I play online games is to hang out with friends. It's hard to get friends to play a game I'm playing when they have to make a monthly payments.

Same. I intended to give it a try (and briefly did, during the alpha), but I'm not sure the EVE Online model is something I'm interested in. So I have a $200-level pledge (including the physical Emerald Spire with all the accoutrements; I'll be keeping that, though).

I'll be interested to see where this thread goes. :)

I am interested in buying an account with Destiny's Twin. PM me.

Is there some way to let the moderators know that they've moved a thread to a spot where it is completely useless because it won't be seen by anyone who actually might get some use out of seeing it. Like this one?

Starting a thread in the website feedback forum is the best way to discuss moderator decisions.

Doesn't seem useless to me ... several threads recently about players who want to buy DT accounts

Yes, but now that it has been moved out of the Pathfinder Forums, and into the Pathfinder Online forums, none of the people who discovered it who actually have unused accounts will ever see it again. All of the posts that appeared before yours were from people who never visit the PFO forums, and it was successful in directing several of them here. Now it is dead.

I see

While we are here on the PFO subforums, would it be bad form to start an "Accounts for sale" thread? I want to sell my PFO reward from the KS, but I

a: don't know if what I have is worth anything

and

b: am not sure how to go about selling my account...

Hi Oceanshieldwolf

There are always people looking for an account that includes a Destinys Twin perk, which is pretty much any kickstarter account. You have two options in terms of selling: watch the PFO sub form for WTB (want to buy) threads and pm the op for an offer; or, start a WTS (want to sell) thread on the subforum and either specify a price, ask for offers or silent auction for highest bid up to a deadline. Most people use PayPal but some have used Paizo store credit gifting instead. It's an on your honor deal, essentially, with you sending the buyer the account information (username and password) for the Goblinworks site assuming you set it up.

You could also sell it on the Goblinworks forum but no pm functions there.

Yep, I pretty much knew the Mods would kick it back down here. It was mostly why I hadn't gotten around to posting in the general forum about it last week. It was good while it lasted though. I think a good many people exchanged accounts that never would have otherwise. And getting enthused players into accounts that they want to play is a very good thing. Thank you for the effort.

Thanks Daeglin! I posted my account details

HERE

for those interested in purchasing it...

So if I'm going to pass my account to someone else, what do I have to do exactly?

I've never replied to any goblinworks emails or done anything to 'activate' my account or similar. It seems a shame for the rewards to just atrophy, but I want it to be easy (learning computer systems is hard for me).

Well first off, don't do what I did..

;P

I got scammed Steve. You are likely wiser, but still...

Basically all you need to do, once you have been paid (if you are selling it) is give the purchaser/receiver your Goblinworks username and password.

You can set that up by following any emails about activating your account at Goblinworks.

But then again, I'm obviously a nincompoop, so you may want better advice.

I know how I "passed" my account to someone else, at any rate...

Bummer. However, that opens up a neat solution. I didn't really want any money for it anyhow, so how about I give you my account, then you can sell it and everything is right with the world?

I'll pm you and you can explain what I need to do (small words, please). Hopefully i've still got all the information I need.

Scarab Sages

I only backed for thornkeep and emerald spire. Mmos aren't my genre.
