The account is unused.
If the game ever gets to the point of major guilds from other games wanting to buy in en masse then DT accounts with 6 or 12 months XP will eventually be worth vastly more than a DT account with 6 or 12 months unused game time.
Of course at present there is only 8 weeks XP difference so the price difference should not be huge, what is valuable about these accounts at the moment is the DT option - any built up XP is just a bonus.

Ok well it seems I have been the victim of a scam and my account may have been sold to an unsuspecting person.
I accepted an offer from a poster on these forums, and then saw a greater offer had been sent to me via email. I alerted the forum poster here that I was retracting my acceptance and replied to the email "redacted" who identified as "redacted".
redacted only wanted to pay after confirming the contents - I was not in favor of doing so but in the end relented and gave up my account and password.
The last email I received said to hang on as they were checking. I was logged in to my Goblinworks account and could see that the email was changed from mine to "redacted", and then "redacted" which it still currently is. I am unsure who this "redacted" person is, and think perhaps they bought the account on from the person who received it from me.
I have not received any payment for my account and can only surmise I have been the victim of a base scam.
When I gave up my account it was inactive. Now it appears that it is signed up for Early Enrolment.
I will be alerting goblin works but I am not sure what there is that they can do...
Moral of the story? Not sure. Beware the seller?

Blarg. That just sucks. I'm sorry that happened and I don't think GW can do anything about it. Also, they have a hands off policy as far as any player to player transactions go that do not violate the game's TOS.
This advice is too late to help you, but may help others in the future.
Wait until the cash is in hand!
Never give out your Password and account information. Never, never, never. Never (until the cash is in hand).
The risk should lie with the purchaser and the purchaser alone.
Use a verified transaction service (Paypal or other trusted site) that has an integrated fraud reporting system.
In the event of a bad transaction, do not be shy about contacting your CC or bank about reversing/freezing the charges.
I have purchased [redacted] accounts, and there is always a little bit of nervousness in the time between making the payment and getting the account information, but any reputable purchaser will be willing to go through a trusted transaction system and pay before receiving any account information.
Again, I'm very, very sorry this happened to you.

Report it to GW and advise you were scammed out of yuor account.
In future, some advice. Email accounts with addresses like mailinator.com or mail.com are usually scammers. Those are free webmail accounts which require no user ID whatsever to setup.

I do not think you can change the username of the account so it is probably pretty easy for GW to identify the account if you give them the username. However GW has not been party in the deal itself so they can and will not take sides in this, I am sure. No way for them to check if money changed hands or not.
I am sorry, Oceanshieldwolf. As a veteran internet buyer/seller I feel like I personally failed to inform you about a few simple rules, as Hobson and Edam already pointed out. :(

I'm so sorry to hear this too. This is the first incidence of account theft I'm aware of, and it's such a disappointment as this is otherwise such a good community compared to most. While GoblinWorks will likely say they cannot intervene, I would strongly encourage you to send an email to Ryan Dancey anyway. He may be able to flag the account for "special attention" especially if the quality of that individual becomes apparent in other ways. On behalf of the rest of the PFO community I apologize for that persons behaviour and thank you for supporting the kickstarter in the first place.
