Would this summoner be OP?

Homebrew and House Rules

Class

I got rid of the eidolon and the spell list.
I kept the base summoner SLA.
I added a reduced version of the SLA
I added new ways to enhance summoning
I added a potentially OP ability, but it would keep the summoner's stats relevant.

The idea is that you can only effectively have two top level summon spells active at a time.

My question is if this class would be too mechanically strong next to wizards, druids, clerics, and Psions?
I would not mind if the class seemed weaker than those options.

It's definetively strong, and the imbue features reminds me of the synthesist. That ability can be exploited in many ways, limited by creativity only. For example, a bloody skeleton undyingness, or an allip incorporeality. Regeneration from many devils.

It has many summons per day, and a +2 in Cha gives 3 extra (sure, some are only a standard action summons, but sill). At higher levels, the brief summons can be used to cast spells.

You are a summoning machine gun. That's about all you can do, but you have a big arsenal of summons, so you can bring a tank, a mage, half a dozen zombies. You are the random encounter lord.

Depending on the style of play, it has the potential of lead to extremely slow encounters. And being the BBEG with this, he can be invisible somewhere and just spam monsters until they drown the party.

This is actually quite awesome. I agree with Lich Bard that Imbue would be really hard to control, very easy to abuse. Maybe limit the duration there? Maybe if it only lasted 1 rnd/level gaining regen or DR wouldn't be that powerful.

Made a slight change. Noticed that Imbue could put the summoner's AC a tad too high. To correct this, Imbue is now a polymorph effect that automatically causes gear to meld into your form.

If you notice any other specific exploits that could be problematic please let me know.

Decided against the gear melding part. It detracts from the concept a bit and does little to prevent AC bonuses.

FAQ

This new FAQ has required that I clarify that this class was designed around the idea that the summoner could use her SLA to give her a caster level for things like magic item creation.

I've added an ability to make the class work as intended even with this FAQ change.
