Forgive my lack of Google-fu if this has been covered before, but I have a question about pre-requisites and retraining.
Basic question: can pre-requisites gained at later levels be used to get a feat that was originally an earlier level feat. Is this the same both for the prestige-based retraining and for the free retrain after level 1 in PFS?
For example, imagine a level 1 swashbuckler with Skill Focus (Basket-weaving) as his level 1 feat. At level 2 he multiclasses to Kensei and picks up Weapon Focus as a bonus feat. Can he then retrain his level 1 feat to Slashing Grace? Can he pay 5 prestige and gold to do it, and can he do it as part of his free rebuild before he plays his level 2 character?

Yes, the swashbuckler can retrain out an earlier feat for a feat he now qualifies for.
You shouldn't be able to use the free rebuild though, as you're specifically benefiting from level 2 benefits in order to retrain out your level 1 feat. While the actual retraining can be done before you get your 4th chronicle sheet. The retraining from Ultimate Campaign (the gp, PP costs) needs to be signed off by a GM on your new chronicle sheet/marked inventory tracking sheet. Well I think that last part is the case, can anyone correct/confirm that? I haven't done retraining before.

I've seen many other GMs state that it must be signed off on the Chronicle Sheet, but to my knowledge all that's required is the expenditure of gold and prestige to be recorded somewhere (and probably on the ITS, as it'll cost more than 25gp).
Page 10 of the Guide:
After 1st level, if you own a copy of Pathfinder RPG Ultimate Campaign, you may use the retraining rules that begin on page 188 to alter your character. Such changes must be made in the presence of a Pathfinder Society GM, the GM must initial each change, and each change must be noted on an official Pathfinder Society Chronicle sheet.

Ah, so it is.
Every time I've retrained, it was on a GM credit Chronicle, so I suppose I can just go back and put another pair of initials on the sheet.
I've been recording it on my ITS this whole time.
(which is funny, to me, that there was this big hoopla about using the ITS, and not requiring anything to be recorded on the Chronicle Sheets, yet this gets a pass)
