Display of X

Rules Questions

Hi all. I was just talking with my buddy as we added another mythic tier to our characters and he said something that would not leave my head. Do the Universal Path Abilities Display of X (Dexterity, Constitution, Wisdom) add that +20 to Reflex, Fortitude, and Will saves? I looked them up and it's unclear saying only that the +20 is added to X based skill check or ability check? Are the saving throws ability checks or not? Or is that just referring to when you make a Dex/Con/Wis check specifically? Any assistance is deeply appreciated!

Flagged for wrong forum; this definitely falls under the Rules board.

Displays of Dexterity, Constitution, Wisdom:
Display of Dexterity (Su): As a free action, you can expend one use of mythic power to attempt a feat of Dexterity, gaining a +20 circumstance bonus on one Dexterity-based skill check or Dexterity ability check.

Display of Constitution (Su): As a free action, you can expend one use of mythic power to attempt a feat of Constitution, gaining a +20 circumstance bonus on one Constitution ability check. Alternatively, you can use this ability to apply a +20 circumstance bonus to your Constitution score for a number of hours equal to your mythic tier for the purpose of making Constitution checks against heat, cold, fatigue, and exhaustion.

Display of Wisdom (Su): As a free action, you can expend one use of mythic power to attempt a feat of Wisdom, gaining a +20 circumstance bonus on one Wisdom-based skill check or Wisdom ability check.

Your answer lies in the Getting Started section of the Core Rulebook, under Ability Scores:

Ability Scores:
Each character has six ability scores that represent his character's most basic attributes. They are his raw talent and prowess. While a character rarely rolls an ability check (using just an ability score), these scores, and the modifiers they create, affect nearly every aspect of a character's skills and abilities. Each ability score generally ranges from 3 to 18, although racial bonuses and penalties can alter this; an average ability score is 10.

You may also note that in the Common Terms section, under Check, it separates ability checks and saving throws as different types of checks.

Summary The Displays of X mythic path abilities do not modify saving throws, only skill checks and ability checks (wherein you normally apply only the ability modifier to the roll).
