LOL - you did indeed delete the original post. So now it looks like mamaursula started the thread instead.
How does Andrew feel about you refering to him as your wife in public, Monica? I thought it was only at home you did that. :- D

It's not an IP issue, I was voting and chatting privately with a friend 3 time zones away and we had the same voting pair. I am certain there is a technical way to describe it, however I lack those terms and understanding, but it looks like the algorithm matches up pairs and puts them out for us to pick up and anyone who's computer stops by to pick up a pair in that time window gets the same pair. We've probably been having duplicate pairs of voting the whole time, but no one notices unless they're in the same room talking about it. We only discovered it because the pairing required remarking upon and kismet.

I see the same items repeat on a fairly regular basis, and some items are always paired together.
I have voted on one set at least five times since the 18th. I have seen at least 3 items 10 times since then. It doesn't seem like it's fair to the items that repeat.
So when I see the same two items at the same time I just stop voting for a couple of hours.

My wife and my mother-in-law make up a third of my home game group. Yep, I'm on good terms with my mother-in-law.

You sir are a wise man. Keeping the mother-in-law happy and on your side makes life so much nicer.

I would just like to further confirm the existence of such legendary households. :)
Happy voting, all!

Your wife is voting too? Cool.
Wives do vote. Sometimes, so do husbands.
When I met my wife, she was already a gamer. Indeed, while I was still playing with my closest friends in my mother’s garage and generally hiding my RPG books in public so I wouldn’t be mocked, my wife had already helped put together a public gaming group that recruited openly. While I was just filling notebooks of pencil-written ideas I’d never get around to, she played and ran in games, drew sketches of her (and other characters), produced live-action roleplaying games for the International Fantasy Gaming Society, sewed costumes, made props, and embraced gaming in a way I had never even considered. All this on top of the normal geekly activities of reading comics and speculative fiction books, watching the often-terrible films and movies available at the time, and gamely arguing who would win in a fight between Batman and Darth Vader.Even now, she’s arranging artist drink-and-draw events, has her own dates to the ENnies, and does at least hal the work of our own publishing company. I just happen to write rpgs for a couple of more visible publishers. In my relationship, she’s the bad-ass gamer chick, and I’m the guy she decided to marry. If she hadn’t convinced me to submit a few of those pencil-written ideas to Dragon Magazine in the 1990s, everyone who knew us would think of me as her hanger-on at most geek events.
And yes, she votes on RPG Superstar, though her other commitments are likely going to keep her from hitting any of the voting achievements. :D

My wife also games she is playing the badass archer of doom in one campaign, the selfless healer in another, and the beautiful but deadly assassin in another.
I feel the same as Owen, shes the badass gamer chick and I'm just the guy she decided to marry. And as they said the rest is a character sheet...or somesuch stuff...

I became a gamer because of my wife!
She suggested the creation Template Fu, nurtured the gamer boy within and was the one who introduced me, way back in the late 70's, to DnD ZERO Ed :)
So when you get your Template Fu reviews, just remember who you have to blame! :D
Wow, the truth is out there now! ;)

I am the gamer in my household, but I did get my wife to start gaming. She plays in our Friday group where in one campaign she plays a male Elven ranger/rogue and in the other campaign she plays a Kitsune Bard. In addition to Pathfinder, I have introduced her to Talisman which she enjoys and a couple of other geeky games.
When I was playing WoW she played with me and she also made an attempt to play MtG... but that didn't go so well. But she is always open to trying out any games with me, which is just awesome.

My wife was only a casual gamer before she met me (we met at a game store while she was painting minis), but now she enjoys playing more than when she did it just to meet up with friends in high school. She has three different characters in three different rotating Pathfinder games currently (We just finished Reign of Winter). She was running the Skull and Shackles campaign herself too, but had to stop half-way through last year when she got pregnant, and was too far a long to keep up the pace!
=)
