based on the trailer it appears thats theres a ultron that gets smashed by "superior ultron"?
Any chance that Black panther gets introduced if the villian is Klaw? I havent heard any rumors of a panther movie but he is tied to the storyline?
based on the old avengers cartoon series at one point hulk goes crazy due to a device being put into his ear. I have a theory on thats why the others could be hunting him?
"Did anyone call Antman?"

Quote:The only way it can be damaged in any way is by tampering with its molecular bonding.Given that the trailer has a momentary image of Cap's shield broken in half....
'When a small sub-molecular imperfection was introduced into Captain America's shield, each impact over the years spread to neighboring molecules. It grew until the molecular bonds of the shield were completely broken down, shattering the shield. The shattering effect continued to spread to other vibranium, unconnected to the shield. This created a vibranium "cancer", a shock wave propagating throughout the world. It violently detonated any vibranium it found, from mineral deposits to components of ships or equipment. The shock wave was traveling to the "Great Vibranium Mound" in Wakanda, where the resulting explosion could destroy the world. With the unwitting aid of the villain Klaw, Captain America was able to stop the cancer and restore his shield.' -wiki

{wearing +5 colander of conspiracy piercing:} Well, there is the brief shot of an unknown molten/liquified metal dripping from a robotic arm, it seems likely Ultron decided to upgrade his armor. 616 Ultron has a molecular rearranger beam specifically for altering his adamantium shell... which could theoretically be used to break Cap's vibranium alloy shield. Vibranium ties into the rumors of Ulysses Klaw (possibly the Andy Serkis character) and a South Africa setting for part of the movie... which sets up the future Black Panther film.
616 Scarlet Witch has some incredibly potent reality-altering powers, which could also theoretically destroy Cap's shield.
616 Ultron also has an encephalo-ray, for "hypnotism"/mind-control/brainwashing, etc, so it's entirely possible that the broken shield & fallen/dead? Thor are merely illusions created by Ultron in one or more of the Avengers' minds. The encephalo-ray may also help explain why Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch might work for Ultron... heck, the encephalo-ray might even be the gem from Loki's staff. The encephalo-ray/staff gem might also be why Banner loses control and Hulks out... and why he seems to have the broken/despondent look on his face post-Hulk... and maybe why Natasha might be shown displaying an emotional connection to becalm the Hulk.
Maybe Banner realizing that his meditation/control is insufficient to stop the Hulk (especially when manipulated by outside forces) sets up his voluntary exile from Earth into a possible Planet Hulk scenario/movie?
...and that's all I've got until I've had some coffee.

With the success of the Guardians of the Galaxy movie? I could see a Planet Hulk movie working out REALLY well...

Vibranium is what Cap's shield is made of.
Actually, it's an alloy of vibranium and iron. True adamantium was first created in an attempt to duplicate it. Eventually it seems that scientists just gave up and decided that true adamantium was "good enough".
OK, ninja'd like 3 days ago. :P

A common misconception is that Ultron is the adamantium robot. Ultron is an AI system. As such, Ultron can be the OS in any robot capable of running him (I wonder what the system requirements for Ultron are). The adamantium robot can be destroyed, and assuming he's backed up somewhere else, Ultron himself is NOT destroyed.
Kinda like Armin Zola (who is potentially still out there).

I will probably watch the film. I can't promise I won't groan at the whedonality of it all.
Hey Freehold DM what don't you do yourself a favor and skip the movie.
I mean I get you don't like Whedon...I think we all know you don't like him by now. Don't feel like you have to force yourself to watch this movie so you can tell us how much it sucks.

NO! Freehold is ethically bound and obligated to watch Avengers 2: Ultron Boogaloo. I hate M. Bay(son), and I wasted a free DVD rental to force myself to sit through 2.75 hours of soul-deadening, brain-killing, underage creeper-excusing, anger-inducing Transformers 4: Age of Boring A'Splosions.
I think he and I are destined to do this forever... You see, madness, as you know, is like gravity. All it takes is a little push! {laughs hysterically}

Zola makes a cybernetic hide check against Ultron and hides within the motherboard of an old Commodore 64. He waits out the entire Age of Ultron and comes out again if someone plugs a USB in his custom hardware adapter a thousand year later.

Callous Jack wrote:I thought the term adamantium was owned by Fox Studios/X-Men so Marvel movies can't use it even if they wanted to.It's really unclear, and probably something only lawyers could answer (and maybe not even them).
I find it unlikely, given that the word has been used in a lot of other places and contexts outside of Marvel comics. Personally, I would think it falls in that strange middle ground that allows both Fox and Marvel to use Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch in their films, maybe even more solidly (unlike the twins, adamantium actually made its first appearance in Avengers, linked to Ultron; the twins originally appeared in X-Men, but subsequently became more firmly entrenched within the Avengers franchise, at least until more recent years.)
Even lawyers wouldn't be able to say without looking at the specific licensing contracts...

aw man... I was hoping for *any* plot other than Civil War. I'd take a whole movie with him chasing Batroc over Civil War
Civil War is a potentially good plot that was terribly executed. Given the chance for somebody competent to take the storytelling reigns, I think it could turn out to be a good movie.
