Cryptic. Psionic focus- does it need to be restarted after every use of disrupt ?

"Once you are psionically focused, you remain focused until you expend your focus".

Does this mean the Cryptic must restart his psionic focus after every round of disrupt pattern or branding pattern, since he Expended it ?

Focus isn't expended unless explicitly stated, or the character loses conciousness.

For an example, look at the Wilder's surge blast. Wilders must regain focus between uses of surge blast.

Anytime the Cryptic wishes to change the type of creature his bonus applies to though. he does, in fact need to change it as a full round action, correct ?

Yes. Instead of just standing there and switching it, I would expend it on a power (so you're not totally useless that round, I prefer an extended buff) and then regain it again with your move via Psionic Meditation. You do have that feat, right. You should. :)
