Recipes: from trainer or from drop?

Is the final plan for all recipes to be drops?

If not, is there a list of the recipes that are available via the trainers?

Thanks!

Cantrip and orison from trainer, spells and recipes from drops.
(one does get 1-3 starter recipes when first (level 1) training refining or craft.)

Some refining and crafting recipes, typically common ones, are automatically available when you have the appropriate skill levels.

A list of what recipes are granted free when you level up the various crafts would be a handy thing to have.

I believe the "Common" rarity recipes are available free from leveling up to the required skill level.

There is a filterable database being built out at pathfinderonlinehq.com - for the recipes currently there are weaponsmith, armorsmith, and some of tailoring and leatherworking. And of course there are the google speasheets by the wizards like Nihimon and SSpitfire.

There are

Common and uncommon recipes
There are common +1, common +2 and common +3
There are uncommon +1, uncommon +2 and uncommon +3

None of the +x recipes will be available via leveling up.

Some of the common and some of the uncommon recipes are available via leveling up, some are not

For example Weaponsmith:
The only recipes that become available via leveling up until level 3 are dagger and longsword. You will need a recipe for a uncommon weapon to level up any further. In this case I did this with a recipe for a hammer. Now the hammer needs varnish.

Prior to the latest update you needed to be level 3 apothecary. You get lots of uncommon recipes available - but you need a common - and the only early one was Clerk's ink - which needs blue - which wasn't available - which prevented you from getting past level 2 and get varnish and therefore past level 3 weaponsmith.

GW changed first Weak Aromatic to common - making varnish possible. Then they moved weak varnish to level 2. So no problem to make weak varnish now after the latest update.

I haven't seen any spreadsheet that currently lists the bottlenecks and what needs to be done in which order. It is like the development tree in civilization - and I love it.

If you don't learn the alphabet then there is lots you will never be able to do. This is similar for crafting.

I've worked my way through it and should be able to reach level 4 in nearly everything now and can tell what to do first. I can only suggest that other settlements try this out before EE.

Off course - once a neigbour settlement produces weak varnish or a certain gem, etc. then you might skip this step if you can arrange a trade. Talk about meaningful interactions.
