Magical girl with Psionics

Product Discussion

My girlfriend wants to use an Aegis from Dreamscarred Press' Ultimate Psionics but would like to be able to glamor or disguise herself and protect her identity. Are there rules for whether or not an astral suit covers the face? If not what's an appropriate way to disguise oneself with an Aegis rules-wise?

Sovereign Court

Easiest way would just be to fluff it up. Now if she wants mechanical benefit for it, hat of disguise, i guess would be my only recommended option.

Also they do say if the gm wishes, he can add more free customizations and the likes and adding something that would allow you to roll a disguise check would be reasonable enough.

What about putting a Shard that increases her disguise check into the suit?

Or she could just, you know, wear a mask under the suit. Or a spit curl and glasses outside of it ;P

Nowhere near as cool as henshining into your disguise.

Mask of Masks [psionic]
Your suit covers your face completely, allowing you to look like someone else.
Prerequisite: Astral Suit
Benefit: You can have your astral suit cover your face completely and mask your identity. By expending your psionic focus, you can transform it into a different face, merging to follow your original face. This gives you a +5 bonus to Bluff checks, to appear as a creature of another race, as long as your size stays the same.

Having a hard time finding this, where is it from?

Might be an as-yet-unreleased Feat...

@Malwing: From this thread, made for you.

Looking it over, I would add that it gives you a +3 bonus to saves against gaze attacks too.

Don't forget the psionic items. The crystal mantles that can be used to increase the enhancement bonus and point pools for your aegis suit. Maybe toss on the glamoured armor ability to that?

Personally the way I'd run it, if the suit provides the equivalent to face protection/helmet then the face cannot be seen normally, just as if they had a normal helmet on. If not, then the character would have to take precautions as they would normally. No mechanical benefit for free but still able to do what the character wanted if they make the choice to use the appropriate suit.

That being said my aegis in a friends game does have a glamoured mantle for the specific reason of not looking like a walking crystal tin can at all times ;)
