Well, with rolls like that, you could build basically ANYTHING and succeed. It really depends on what you want to do, and the order you select.

If you wanted to be an all-out offensive beast, you could go with a single two-handed weapon, pick the Order of the Cockatrice, 18 Strength, 18 Constitution, other stats wherever, and just wreck things.

Alternatively, you could take a slightly different route and go for a single big turn, dual-wielding strategy. 18 Strength, 18 Charisma, 15 Dexterity, two-weapon fighting, Order of the Lion. Challenge grants bonus damage, and the Order of the Lion abilities are AWESOME if you have high Charisma.

Even MORE alternatively, if you're feeling particularly creative, you could take two levels in Paladin or one level in Cleric, put the 18s in Strength and Charisma again, and take the Order of the Star to get continual progression in Lay on Hands or Channel Positive Energy. It's not the best offensive option, but with those stats you'll still hit like a truck, and you'll have a little bit of party support. If you can deal with the Paladin code, you also get to Smite Evil 1/day (which is AWESOME), super-boost your saving throws, and can even heal yourself as a swift action, all while still being primarily a Samurai.

I recommend taking the Sword Saint archetype for all of these options, btw. Mounts can be tricky to use, and if you're a new player you may want to minimize the complexity of your character. Sword Saint gets rid of all that mount stuff in favor of better early damage, so the trade-off is pretty obvious.

I forgot to mention the fact that the single level in Cleric also gets you access to some 1st level spells and domain abilities, which could potentially be great. Shield of faith is an awesome first level spell for giving yourself more staying power, and you can pre-cast it so it will definitely last an encounter. Protection from Evil or Chaos would likewise be an excellent choice, and there are a whole slew of situational spells (Marid's Mastery, Murderous Command, Forbid Action, Sanctuary, Weapons Against Evil) that could be potential beneficial throughout multiple levels of gaming, some even through the mid levels.

What do you want your character to be like? What do you want your proud and honorable warrior to be really good at doing? Give us a vision of heroic battle. I think it is better to focus on what sort of abilities you want for your character first and think about what levels in which class or classes you want to take to achieve that later.

The protection of the people who work your land, proper obedience to your lord, the ways of the Teacup and the Sword, these are things you achieve through roleplaying, not through character building.

When i think of a samurai my second thought is honor...i love the classic story of a samurai who works for his land and his lord....thats how i think my story...a classic story....

Looking at the Samurai, some things really stick out for me. The Samurai Challenge ability is very impressive. You get +1 damage per Samurai level vs. your challenge target.

Taking levels in samurai, you have a strong motivation to single-class, although Davor's advice about a dip into cleric is good advice, but you probably do want to limit your multiclassing to dipping, and not too much. Look at the Law Domain. The flavor blends well, and Touch of Law is powerful, especially considering we are talking about a Cleric dip instead of full-on multiclassing.

You can only apply Weapon Expertise to 1 weapon: naginata, wakisashi, or katana. The weapon combinations that really jump out at me are katana and shield and twin wakisashis.

Katana and shield is very powerful, and it offsets samurai weaknesses, like reduced AC while using Challenge, but shields are out-of-flavor. I like shield bashing. I'd get Shield Slam, Great Bull Rush, and maybe Spiked Destroyer.

Twin Wakisashis is very straightforward. Specialize in wakisashi, and you get +2 damage for each hand. 2 weapons let you do your Challenge bonus damage with each weapon, also.

I think 2 wakisashis are better than katana and wakisashi the katana does +1 damage compared with wakisashi, but if you specialize, you do +2 damage.

Both weapons threaten a crit on an 18-20. You should take Improved Critical and make that 15-20, then take Crit Focus and get a +4 on rolls to confirm a crit.

As I write, I'm starting to like twin wakisashis better than katana and shield. Have each one made out of a different material, say 1 made of adamantine and the other mithril to help cover your bases for damage reduction. Diversify your enchantments between them. Maybe make one of them Ghost Touch, one of them Brilliant Energy, one of them Flaming, one of them Corrosive. You give them ironic names, like call the Frost weapon Rhyme (Rime, get it?) and the Flaming one Reason. Or call the Corrosive one Wit, and the Sonic one Wisdom.

A diverse toolkit is a really good idea for any fighter: a blunt weapon, a piercing weapon, a slashing weapon, a silver weapon, a ranged weapon, a close weapon, a reach weapon, a cold iron weapon: the right tool for the right job.

That challenge class ability focuses you on 1 opponent at a time, and that limits you vis a vis crowd control. Either offset it or rock it out: up to you.

Take another look at Halfling for Cavalier. Halflings do have lower Strength and their small-size weapons do less damage, but they are harder to hit, and they have better saving throws. Samurai have poor saving throw bonuses, and samurai damage bonuses are NOT reduced with size. Power Attack is not reduced with size, and halflings have access to a special feat called Risky Striker, which lets them trade their increased AC for increased Damage, and that should more than offset their lower damage. Anyway, check out the hotness of a little Halfling samurai spinning across the field like a top with razor blades on it. Everyone will be knocked out of their chairs with the power of your awesomeness.

Although I'm about to suggest even more dipping than Davor is, consider 3 levels in Inquisitor and get Broken Wing Gambit. Or perhaps Paired Opportunist. Inquisistors get a bonus teamwork feat at level 3, and they can change their mind about which teamwork feat they take.
