Pathfinder Adventure Card Game Rise of the Runelords Prologues & Epilogues
Written by Byron "Kittenhoarder" Campbell with file layout by Neil "Autoduelist" Edmonds, these stories should be read in lieu of the Adventure Path and Scenario cards. Read the prologue before each scenario and the corresponding epilogue when you successfully complete the scenario; doing so provides an epic tale as you proceed through the game.
[I was very pleased to assist Byron on this excellent project. Several of my friends enjoy paragraph games like "Tales of the Arabian Nights" and Deckbuilders like "Dominion", so this fan project makes the Pathfinder Adventure Card Game much more appealing to them.]

I just had to say that "paragraph games" reminded me of those computer games from the 80s (looking at your 1989's Dragon Wars) where the copyright security method was the game would tell you to read a certain paragraph number in a book. And the book had fake paragraphs. So that you couldn't manage to copy the software...unless you also managed to copy the book. I wonder if that was even effective.
What a nice memory of my Tandy 1000HX. I actually still have the 3.5" floppy.

More ruinous than those for me was stuff like Out of this World's code wheel. We eventually figured out and wrote down every word Xcom would ask for, but how can you beat this.

Sounds great! Sorry if I'm being dumb, but where would I find this?
There's a registered projects link here on Paizo, but I'll post the link right here for you:

While I'm talking about the file, has anyone ever found any stone giant images on the blog for Community Use? I found a virgin cover from issue #7 of the comic, but that was the only stone giant image I found.
I'm working on finalizing a (mostly) Text-only version with a larger font size to make it easier on tablet users and people who don't want to use a lot of color ink printing the document.

For reference, here is the community use registry. If you make something using the community use policy, part of the requirements for doing so is to register your project on there.

So, does that mean I should register the character cards I made? I didn't see anything about that in the community use page, but I'll admit my eyes glazed over a few times.

It depends. If you aren't distributing it, then it doesn't matter. The community use policy only applies to things you are distributing. So if you made them for your personal use, it isn't even part of the community use policy. That is why you can scan and print the character cards from the game for your personal use. Community use policy only comes in when you are wanting to share what you've made with others.
I think that if you made character cards using the community use card templates and didn't use any Paizo artwork or anything else from Paizo, you are probably ok to just share it without registering it. The card templates themselves have community use language on them, and I don't think that rises to the level of what Paizo wants to have people register.
But, if you made a character card and took an image from the Paizo blog and put it in your card, and then put it somewhere for others to download and use your card, then you should probably register it. Especially if you are making a regular habit out of that.
But I'm not an expert on this, so don't take that as the final word.

Okay, thanks. I am not using any Paizo artwork, but I have a link in my threads to fully detailed character cards (they still have the community use info, since I used the MSE templates, which include it) so I wasn't sure. Maybe when I have a wider array of cards I'll register, but it sounds like it's not a big deal right now.

Just a heads-up they'll be some other versions of this document very soon: there's an 11pt font text-only release and a 10pt font version featuring slightly different and larger art pieces. I'll be making separate entries for these files in the registry.
I have to repost the original document too because the writer asked me to update the credits to identify material he used from the original Adventure Path modules (I already went above and beyond what's required by the Community Use Policy and included artist citations, game credits, etc.).

I updated the entry in the Paizo registry; I called the product "Pathfinder Adventure Card Game ROTR Adventure Guide." The entry links to the file location on Boardgame Geek. Version 1.1 of the original 8pt font document with artwork is available now. The 10pt font document with larger artwork and the 11pt font text-only release will be available shortly on the same web-page and features the same changes as version 1.1. You aren't forced to download all three files, you just have to select which one you want.
