Then again, I think douches like that have always been around. They just screech louder these days.
Damn! Scanning through the old archives, there's a lot of people you know longer see around here. Some of that's good. Some bad.
Time to dredge up some more memories from the frigid digital depths.....
Well, that was an enjoyable, if futile way to spend about 20 minutes. However, I think I hear a beer calling my name. Perhaps something stout-ish....
Tis a sucktastic night on the movie channel front. However, the Vikings/Packers game has proven mildly amusing. Alas, it is half-time.
In other news, for the first time in months I cracked open a bottle of the barely wine style ale I brewed. I recall bottling this stuff well over a year ago. In fact, by the end of October, it'll have been a year since I first drank some.
I'm happy to report it still tastes good.
There was some definite sediment clouding it up, however.
Speaking of beer, there's a recipe box that's been sitting in my house for months now. I might finally get around to brewing it sometime this coming week.
I meant to try and do so a few weeks back, given my current plethora of free time, but I could never bring myself to do so.

Tonight I am drinking beer out of one of my two Swashbuckler Brewing Company glasses. They are the official brewery of the Pennsylvania Renaissance Fair.
There moto is my life moto: Live Free. Dine Well. Drink Good Ale.
I should probably add a note about that to my profile.
There's a mini Aliens marathon (first two movies) on Sundance Channel. I'd watch except - (a) it's on Sundance, so commercials, and (b) f# that shit. I've got all four movies on Bluray. Picked up the set a few years back on sale at bestbuy for $40.
This is the longest I've gone with facial hair. Been over a month now.
I've got to remember to sign the boy up for Jogging Club at school.
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!
Bad zombie is bad. He had a frosted sugar cookie for breakfast.
I have been considering building a bat box (or bat house). I have plans for a small one, complete with list of materials. So now I'm debating whether to go over to Lowe's and buy what I need today.
I put one up at my old house. Never got any bats. The owls turned their noses up at my owl house as well...
I have an owl living in the small section of trees behind my house. My worry for the bat box would be that the owl might try to eat the bats.
I'm not sure. My guess is the owl would if it was hungry enough and the bats were plentiful enough.
I may try to get some reading done today.

I did get some reading done today!
Also....
WOOT! New TV seasons have begun!!!!!!!
And HOLY CRAPCAKES ON FIRE!!!!! It looks like Fez from That Seventies Show is going to be a regular on NCIS. Not the character, of course, but the actor. His name is so f#@+ed up, I never can be bothered to remember it.
Really?! Fez?! I dunno how my mom will handle that since she HATED that show.

Gurgle murgle. Stoopid rassumn frassum compooter issues.
Looks like another bright, sunshiny day!
I'm planning the construction of my own, personal dice rolling tray. Picked up the wood I need yesterday. My plan is to make it in a pentagonal shape, with a cool symbol burned into the surface. I think it'll end up pretty cool.
I'll probably post pictures chronicling its construction on Facebook.
I might even use some of the old Dethek runes from Forgotten Realms along the sides. Or maybe Tolkien runes...

Spider Pit is in the works. Who knew there were so many spider-type entries in the Bestiaries and elsewhere...?
Happy Friday! I love many of you! In a very platonic, I'm not going to chew on your brains way.
Had a fun family movie night yesterday with my brother and his family over. We ate pizza, cookies, chips, various fruit, and watched Captain America: Civil War.
Except for the two youngest girls - they watched Tangled upstairs.
Weird, but when I first got on the computer this morning only a handful of websites would open. This was not one of them. Yet, it would open on my phone.
So I restarted the computer. Problem apparently solved. Windows 10 is weird.
A semi-decent day. Quiet and uneventful morning. After lunch, the boy and I hit the comic book store, then Hobby Lobby to purchase something I need for a project. Then it was back home and over to the subdivision's splash pad for a bit of watery fun.
My neighbors have put up their Halloween decorations. Too early.
A week early, but better than Christmas decorations, right?
Well, we tried to take the kids to Jurassic Quest today, but apparently a stall in the convention center caught fire just before we got there, and they had the place shut down for a bit.
We went to Jack-in-the-Box for lunch, and then went back, but there was still no word on when they'd have it open, so we came home.
The boy was very disappointed.
We bought a small new table for George the Fish. It's big enough for his tank, just the right height so the kidlets can feed him, and has a drawer for his food and other items.
Incidentally, this also cleared up space on one of the book shelves, which allowed my to do some rearranging and get more books actually on to shelves. Now I only have about 16 books without proper homes.
Of course, that's not counting my work-related books, which number about 30-40, plus numerous binders full of information.
