Yay!

Wait, I can't post yet. :( Bring on EE!

Shouldnt the alpha forums be open to read without alpha access. With no NDA what's the point of hiding them?

Just got a heads up from our tech team that there may be a problem with posting to the Alpha forums. They're working that problem and will have it fixed by end of day.

The alpha forums are open only to the alphas so we have a direct link to people actually playing. We will open the forums to EE when the time comes and then the "General" forum section will be open to the public. Once we move to Open enrollment, things will change.

@H20sw - we discussed our options. In the end, based on resources and other limitations, we could have Alpha forums now and keep them closed to all but Alpha participants, or wait several weeks and have forums that everyone can access. This is an internal resource allocation thing, not a technical limit of the software.

We decided we would rather have the Alpha forums now, and deploy the tech talent on other features and polish in game even if that meant they're going to be of limited availability.

The issues should all be resolved now. Apologies on the delay.

New forums = Yay!

Alpha Only (for now) = Oh well. Us EE types will be there soon. (Soon-ish? Soon (tm)?)

Nothing's stopping the Alphas from reporting to us over here, too...even if only by copy/paste.

Question: What browser is recommended for the alpha forums? They look pretty screwed up in Chrome.

Would you mind PM-ing me a screenshot of what you mean? I am viewing them in Chrome right now and they look as they should.

Either it was temporary internet issues on my end, or temporary server issues. The anomalies seem to be fixed. The problem had been with things lining up properly... such a smilies being super-imposed over the text box for typing. And a complete lack of formatting for signatures, which had them meshing in with post text.

I am not seeing it anymore.

Ah ha, forgot to increment the version number on our css files. I bet your browser cached the old css file which would then cause all the new forum elements that were not in the old css file to look all kinds of strange. Changing the version number forces browsers to get rid of their cached version which prevents this temporary 'everything looks strange' issue.

I have now fixed that, thank you Lifedragn.

I don't seem to have access to the forums. When I go to the link, I just get the splash page saying that access is limited to alpha testers.

The splash page that states that non-alpha users should still use the Paizo forum? If so then the correct link you want is in the work 'here'.

The forums should also show up in your side bar as 'Alpha Forums' in big brown text (assuming you have alpha access).

I was wondering why this forum slowed down so much lately. Bummer (for EE peeps)!

Ah, I was blind and missed that "here" was url hilighted. I'm going to blame it on the food poisoning.
