Hello Gamers,
If you were to create a tiefling. You decide to choose from any of the classes. What class would be the most dangerous for either melee or caster.
I view Lay on Hands as one of the most powerful effects in the game, especially if a character is built around it. We just finished a non-Mythic run through Wrath of the Righteous and I ran a Demonspawn Tiefling Paladin (Oradin, technically, but 20 levels of Paladin) with the Oath of Vengeance and the Oath Against Fiends archetypes. The favored class bonus provided by the Tiefling really made the character run and gave me the incentive needed to load up on Extra Lay on Hands to fuel bonus Smites, anti-Fiend abilities and tons of self-healing which then folded into other abilities and spells like Compel Hostility, Divine Transfer, Sacrificial Oath and the Oralce Life Link mystery. Even Tiefling traits like 'Suicidal' seem to compliment the class perfectly.
Also, there was a tremendous amount of rich role-play potential, playing a half-fiend Paladin devoted to ridding the world of fiends and constantly having to prove himself to the holy-rollers he found himself battling alongside.

Seeing as how wizard is the strongest class and base tieflings get a bonus to int, not to mention the inherent defensive capabilities of energy resistance and darkness. I'd have to say wizard.
Don't forget a +2 Natural Armor feat where most races only get +1 (unless you're a Human with Racial Heritage, but it still amounts to spending 2 feats for a +2, equating to +1 per feat), as well as a feat that grants you the missing Resistance 5 to cover the Big 4 Elements, with a character trait that increases all of your resistances by 2.
But yes, definitely Wizard for sheer lategame power.
If you want to be more of a melee character, the +2 Dexterity helps if you decide to use a Finesse Weapon with the Agile property or Dervish Dance. The Darkness SLA is powerful in the lower levels, though when an Ioun Torch is 75 gold and can be stacked indefinitely, Darkness becomes pointless. Substituting that for a Bite Attack while wearing an Agile Amulet of Mighty Fists and your Weapon Finesse build just got a lot stronger. Tack on a Prehensile Tail to hold (and use) Metamagic Rods while freeing hands needed for spellcasting, weapons, or other useful items, and you're a practically unstoppable force.

I've seen a tiefling alchemist in action, and it looked like a lot of fun.
In the scenario in question, the BBEG was also an alchemist and set our tiefling on fire. As it happened, he was on fire for about ten rounds, without taking serious damage.
The combination of (fire)bombs and gratuitous energy resistances doesn't just work well, it feels nice.
Also, bonus to Intelligence (basically your damage stat) and Dex (your to-hit stat) is pretty nice.
The prehensile tail, combined with Fast Drinker, means drinking potions is very efficient.

I'm currently playing a tiefling Wood Specialist Wizard/Cleric of Sun Wukong, going towards Mystic Theurge. So far we've been facing a lot of goblins. Goblins like fire; alchemical, Burning Hands - I care not, it doesn't hurt me. That's very amusing, playing a character who basically thinks fire isn't all that scary but acid (as the common element that can damage me) is actually scary. That's why I prepare Acid Splash instead of Ray of Frost. Right now I'm trying to become king of the goblins. Step 1, become the best fire-slinging wizard those goblins have ever seen.

A Pitspawn (demon; +2 Str, +2 Cha, -2 Int) bloodrager (barbarian/sorcerer hybrid from the upcoming Advanced Class Guide) with the demonic bloodline (duh) promises to be good too. Neat synergy between all the heritages and class stats.

I've seen Tiefling magi in action. One hexblade with very effective use of Flight Hex. In an earlier adventure, he shocked the GM. At level 1 he was running after an NPC, giving up Dex to AC. The NPC shot him, rolling a well. The GM declared it a hit, but the player asked him what to-hit result he actually got. Turns out this tiefling had a chain shirt (+4 AC), that feat to get +2 natural armor and a Shield spell running at the time. A 19 against no-Dex-no-Dodge AC didn't hit him. After several rounds of absolutely failing to achieve any damage the NPC surrendered.
Obviously the +2 Int +2 Dex tieflings get by default is perfect for Magi. The Prehensile Tail is also good for fetching scrolls and wands.

I 2nd alchemist, particularly vivisectionist. Tieflings can get a trait to see through smoke, which denies others dex. This is good for sneak attacking. Also, the shield spell extract on top of a mw chainshirt w a racial natural AC bonus as well as +2 for mutagen gives the tiefling alchemist a starting AC of around 22. Pretty fantastic. the viv doesn't get bombs but you do add Int to splash weapons so using splash wrapons still pays off. I like the alch-archer build because PB Shot and rapid shot work with splash weapon mastery to make your ranged very effective.

Tieflings take a hit on Charisma thought, right?
