I did the same with cleric but for all the stat increases through Cleric 2. Had my Pathfinder Game last night so didn't get to it. Will try and update it tonight or bring the paper with me to work tomorrow and add it in.

Updated with a few sheets using rows from a very special source for which I am very thankful.

Just took a look at the updated spreadsheet .... WOW

Looks like you had a Paste error on the Role Achievements tab, where you have the Wizard and Cleric 2-20 duplicated.

Fixed.

So, does it look like you'll generally be able to get all the stat advances you need to advance a role within the role, or will you have to branch out in order to get the stats you need to continue to advance?

I had to get additional skills to continue to advance in the Cleric role beyond what was required to get the next role advancement. I was able to get stat requirements by getting skills related to the role (ie domains and spells not required by the Cleric role advancement chart, but skills that improved the roll's ability to perform its role).

If you bought nothing but the Cleric role 1 advancement skills as a new character, your Wisdom would be less than the 11 (10.7xx) needed to get rank 2 skills required to progress to Cleric role 2.

OK, so you can either narrowband your role advancement and train a compatible trade, or you can wideband your role and get to the same place. That sounds like a good deal.

looking a bit closer at the gather/craft and skills requirements:

1) craft achievements requirements are 0 for everything until high levels. I expect that will be fixed.

2) the stat requirement increases at lvl 4,6,7,8, and then every second. Ie levels 7-8 seems will be the point where you -have- to broaden your focus simply to build stats. I see it is the same progression for skills.

Is it the same also for Role achievements? (ie Ftr6 requires str12, Ftr8 str14)?

3) the "pure crafting alt" seems not very practical on mid-levels. An alchemist/artificer/spellcrafter/engineer/jeweler combo could meet all stats and achievements requirements from purely crafting, but anyone else needs stats and/or achievements from somewhere else.

BT, there's a plus sign at the top right of each post you can click to save it into your favorite list.

Goblin Squad Member

Or you can click "list" and add it to a personal or public list, along with a comment.

I tend to view the forums with focus on so dotting is an expedient way to follow a thread without hitting defocus. Favorite-ing doesn't quite get me the same effect, but I appreciate the input.

(Is dotting tacky or impolite?)

Thanks.

I can't honestly say it's either, but it's a bit disconcerting, especially in necroed threads, to find no new input :-). Perhaps, when dotting, tell us a bit about why the thread attracted your interest?

Cool.

It's just a lazy short cut for me. It won't kill me to type a few words. :)

I've been a dottering old fool for ages. Have an ale!

If nothing else, there's the chance you'll spark conversation.

In my view, just typing "dotting" or "." is not helpful.

Writing something short is helpful, that way you participate and indirectly dot at the same time. Win-Win. :)

I don't mind the "dot for later".. It's kind a Paizo forum thing to me...

Isn't it possible to "dot" a thread just by clicking the dot after the thread name without actually making a post?

I don't believe the dot appears until you post.

Goblin Squad Member

Yeah. The dot just links to the last post you made in that thread.

Cool!

It's the least I could do after all of your help. :)
