Glad to hear you got it okay. Your shipment was definitely not bike friendly. :p

Hah, yeah I don't think it'd have done my balance much good. I'm heavy enough for it as it is...

Just got home and unpacked it all. Man that is a lot of stuff... going to have to get it sorted and distributed to some groups asap so I can actually have use of my coffee and dining tables again :P Shouldn't be hard to find homes for it though.

EDIT: Also, I know you said Shadowrun wasn't that popular, but I was still surprised at just how much there is of it :P

There was a time when Shadowrun was the bees knees. It's got enough of a following to have pushed to 5th edition and Herolab support for 4th and 5th.

Sorry, to clarify, I meant popular as in people requesting Shadowrun books from Steve. I bloody love Shadowrun, and it looks like I ended up with a significant part of Steve's collection. I thought more people would want in on it. I'm basically rolling around in joy at the thought of mining all these books for my upcoming 5th edition games, and yes, I'll be getting Hero Lab files for it just to make my life easier.

There were also considerations as to shipping overseas versus shipping to Australians. I generally limited overseas packages to two or three items.

The early "region" books are still amongst my favourite RPG sourcebooks ever written.

Fair point, logistics would be interesting for shipping source books... they get heavy fast.

And yes, the early region books for the campaign setting are fantastic. The best thing is that so much of it transcends the edition, it's always useful because you can just update the stats for any mechanical stuff to whatever you're using. Especially since I tend to ignore most of the established timeline unless it suits my purposes, so the fact that the setting has been moving on in each edition has no effect on my games.

If I'd noticed this thread before I got wrapped up getting ready for Dexcon, I'd probably have a few of them myself.

Liberty's Edge

I just got the books. Everything was in great shape. Thank you so much.

The non-Shadowrun stuff has now been distributed to my 14 year old cousin's 'Adventurers' group (I think it's kind of like scouts, not sure if it's affiliated or not), and they're in the process of setting up some regular game days as I write this. Thanks again Steve.

I just realized I never sent you my mailing addie. *bangs head on desk*. I PM'd you with it, just in case.

Still eagerly awaiting mine... *twitch while staring at door* I want that horror steam punk stuff... It's like... My two favorite things got drunk and had a prom baby...

You may be waiting a while. There were one or two sent airmail, but the vast majority of the packages went sea mail, as I understand it. The freight company gave the helpful estimated delivery time of 14-90 days (or somesuch). :o

I received the books this morning… a package full of awesome! Everything was in perfect conditions. Thank you very much, Steve.

You're very welcome. I'm glad some have started arriving.

Grand Lodge

3 people marked this as a favorite.

Dang, I knew we were a generous community, but...dang!

Shadow Lodge

Mine arrived today. A big thanks, Steve!

Everything was in very good condition, with the exception of the actual boxes for the two boxed sets. And I cared more about the actual books.

I think mine must've been sent by sea... I just hope it didn't get blown off the ship's railing or something! ;)

(It hasn't been 90 days yet, so I'm still holding out hope.)

:)

Me too. Some have arrived, so fingers crossed the rest are imminent. :)

Mine arrived today, in perfect condition. Thanks, Steve!

Sweet, the ship must've made it!

Mail came late today, and guess what was in it?!

Thank you again, Steve!!

No worries. Enjoy. :)

Liberty's Edge

Yep - Steve Rocks, no doubt about it!!! :)

And after a 2-month sea odyssey, my package arrived! The envelope had been through the wringer (obviously not Steve's fault in any way), but the books arrived in great shape!

Thanks again for the books, Steve; as Marc above me said, you rock! May your game table always be full and the dice always break your way!

Mine arrived in Houston, Texas on Wednesday in fine shape. Thank you very much.

I got mine today. Like Readerbreeder, the envelope had seen better days (as in, completely open), but everything inside was present and in perfect shape.

Thanks Steve.

p.s. It arrived before my birthday later this week, so bonus awesomeness for that. ^_^

Sovereign Court

anything left?

No I'm afraid not. It all got spoken for pretty quickly.

There's one person who hasnt responded with an address (so there's three books still here) but everything else was posted a couple of months ago.

Liberty's Edge

I assume that is me. I am in Iowa and still keeping an eye out.

Just checked. Yours definitely left (the one remaining person never replied to the "what's your address" email).

The outside estimate was mid October and yours was likely to have gone via the slow boat. :(

I just got mine a couple days ago. Thanks again.

Sovereign Court

well if they never get back to you I'll throw my hat in the ring, but I understand if they get taken.

It takes boats a long time to travel across our oceans of corn.

Bwahahaha! Just got here today. Gave them a quick skim, and I gotta say...

Damn it! Now I don't know what to run on Halloween! Steam punk neo-victorian horror... Or zombie-plague, pathfinder style.

In either case, thou now hast mine unending gratitude.

Unhallowed reminds me a little of Vampire the Masquerade at first glance, which is good, as I hope it'll scratch the itch I've had for that style of game ever since my ex ran off with my books.

Thanks again man. Now, I'm off to go stare at them and try to figure out what I'm going to run next month....

I like the concept and setting of Unhallowed far more than I like the execution. That system is a mess. Which is weird, because I'm pretty sure it's the same company (but possibly not the same designers, which could explain it) who created Godlike, which I really enjoyed.

Every now and then I pull out my Unhallowed Metropolis and Necropolis books, feverishly flick through them for a time trying to put a game together, then give up and just use them for inspiration for other games.

My books arrived in excellent condition today after crossing mountains and broken wastelands. Thank you again for this!
