Suggestions for drow game?

Advice

Is anyone aware of any Paizo material that would be good for a group of drow? I figured maybe there'd be a module or something but I haven't been able to find anything. I'd like Paizo material but it seems they don't offer much in the way of drow or the underdark.

I'm not, but Fire Mountain Games recently published the 2nd installment of their "underdark" AP. If it's even half as good as Way of the Wicked, it will be awesome.

Do you know what the AP's called?

Scarab Sages

Rise of the Drow by AAW, 500 pages, super module goes from level 6 to 20, includes a bunch of setting stuff about the Drow too. It was on the store blog last week:

Way of the Wicked.

Golarion Drow are a race of pure evil.

No angst-ridden twin scimitar wielding Rangers, worshiping their angst-ridden naked moon goddess.

Drow are evil.

Elves can even become Drow, by being too evil.

Way of the Wicked works perfectly.

This is actually not true.

Golarion drow can be non-evil, just like any other mortal race.

The only drow that can truly be called irredeemable are those that were originally elves that crossed the Moral Event Horizon hard enough to suffer the Dark Fate. Those drow that are born drow aren't bound to evil like those and have the freedom to choose good, evil, or neither. The transformation is also one-way: Good drow do not become normal elves, which is a good thing because it avoids some nasty unfortunate implications.

That and there are non-evil drow in Golarion canon, going all the way back to Second Darkness itself.

If someone wants to have non-evil drow in Golarion, it's perfectly kosher by canon.

(also, they don't have a dedicated moon goddess, but there's a perfect Empyreal Lord of darkness and silence that is absolutely perfect for non-evil drow. The Black Butterfly's obedience is practically a survival method for good drow trying to get by on the surface)

edit-Before anyone trots out that sidebar from Second Darkness, read it again before holding it up as proof that all drow must be evil. It actually says something quite different: It recommends not bringing non-evil drow PCs into that AP and holding them off until later.

The one larddrym was referring to is "Throne of Night", I believe.

There are no canonical Good Drow. There is, however, a canonical CN one...and probably more than that. So more Jaraxle than Drizzt, if it makes you feel any better.

Shensen's CG. ;)

Non-evil drow != Drizzt

And it's long past tiresome how some keep trotting out the same complaints because others might want to do something with drow besides having them be uniformly evil, as if such players were incapable of any form of nuance or creativity to do things with non-evil drow that didn't involve being Drizzt-clones at all. As if others somehow had to stop having fun with non-evil drow just to please those that just cannot get over their grief with Drizzt.

That attitude is long past old and tired. It's nothing more than yet another variant of "stop having fun I don't like". If one doesn't like non-evil drow, they don't have to play with players that do. But they also don't have to trash those players either, as if they were doing something wrong.

Also, Eilistraee isn't angsty.

This isn't intended to come across as angry as it may sound, but honestly, the Drizzt-complaints, along with the phrases "emo" and "mary sue" get thrown around so freely that they have no meaning any more besides "character I don't like".

Besides, black-skinned, white-haired elves are hot and should not be solely the domain of Team Evil.

Stop having fun?

When was this suggested?

What about those who don't want Forgotten Realms Drow in every setting?

What about those who don't know there is a difference?

What about those who may want to play in a different setting?

What about those who want to be informed?

Yeah, the anti-Drow faction is way to vocal and get´s tiresome.

I´m waiting for a chance to play that Drow shadow caster since years now.
(And a good shadow/illusion sorcerer bloodline). There is so much more that can be done with Drow besides that old FR stuff.
BTW, i really liked Drow being a matriarchy (referring to that many gender threads. And yes, that could also be a bit kinky, because that scares a lot of men and others, being a bit provocative. And, kinky and PG13 at the same time is not a problem either. Not everything needs to be as graphic and explicitly mentioned as many people proclaim nowadays. After all, this is a fantasy game.).
The people who don´t know there is a difference between Faerun, their Drizzt novels, Menzoberranzan on the one hand and Pathfinder and Golarion on the other hand by now are in vain anyway.
Go enlighten them.
Anyway, as it seems, 80% of Golarion are not good anyway, but neutral.
Maybe even everyone but good clerics, oracles and paladins and silver crusade members. And even those have low templars^^

Why did you cross that last sentence Mikaze?
In my head, Drow look more like giant smurfs that behave like Gargamel all the time^^

Smurf?

People still lose their crap about evil Aasimar too.

Heck, there is even an Iconic evil Aasimar NPC.

She killed one of our PC's :)
Btw:
Abraxas is a popular deity among Drow.

A Drow that had a massive change of heart, due to alchemical experiments performed, sounds like an awesome idea for a good Drow PC.

"I drank this potion, and suddenly, doing good, just felt right."
