Thank you very much, just wanted to make sure these top groups got the recognition that they deserved. This also serves as a purpose to promote alliances/affiliations, as well as promote settlements for those groups with less than a couple people to merge with.
This is something I have also been wondering. Settlements that will have chartered companies for example. How do the others throw in their support?Effectively we are calling all companies associated with a settlement a guild in the Land Rush. So if you are planning to be a chartered company sworn/allied with a settlement, under the Land Rush you would become a member of the guild representing that group as a whole.
This is just to clear up things for you smaller groups, as well as clarify what a guild really means/entails.

This thread certainly will be valuable to those Landrush "Guilds" that decide to bring their own group under the umbrella of a larger organization, when it becomes clear they can not really compete. Thanks Cheatle.
However, I wish there was a way where these smaller Guilds could work things out amongst themselves, since I can totally understand that not every small Guild wants to be incorporated into one of the larger contenders, but rather would try to forge their own identity with similar-minded small guilds.
Unfortunately a lot of these small Guilds have very lacking entries and can not be contacted. And many of them seem to have simply "reserved their Guild name" as it seems, and we all know that that is not what the Landrush is about.
So, chaos for the smaller Guilds, with the large corporations looming over them, ready to assimilate them into the Borg Collective over the next 10 weeks.
Maybe try to round up every small contender (less then 3 members) that *do* have contact information, in a similar thread on the forums and try to work out deals there? That thread could be bumped, and the opening post could list every contender that is looking to join forces, including the merges that have already been established.

I would agree with you if our posts could be edited, but most people don't follow links....which sucks.
I think CB did a good job with his work too, and between the both of us might facilitate something like that.
I do like the sound of a page specifically for guilds/companies to merge and name their affiliations.

Reading this thread, I'm worried we're a bit top heavy on Good aligned companies and settlements. Hopefully we'll balance out a bit in time. Thanks for keeping this thread going by the way Cheatle - great resource for new and old players alike!

If Good and Evil are indicators of character play-styles linked through the alignment and reputation system, I'm not sure some given fraction of Good is good or bad. Good settlements will find they need to attack their Good neighbors, just like they need to attack their Evil and Neutral neighbors. Once we get into game I think those Good settlements will be challenged by the limitations that are on their characters - or maybe they won't find it that limiting.

I don't think it will be as big of a problem.
What prohibits good aligned groups from fighting each other? You can still be good, and aggressive, look at the Vigilant.

I agree with Cheatle. i think ultimately alignment will have more to do with your playstyle than a representation of PVP numbers. Lawful Evil and Lawful Good settlements may join forces against a particularly troublesome chaotic force. 2 Lawful good settlements might wage war over some particular drama or another (or possibly some roleplayed reason for their own fun).
You'll also, most likely, have a larger number of good aligned players who just want to play the PvE elements of the game.

Additions: Keepers of the Circle's Leaderboard recruiting page says their Settlement's called Keeper's Pass. Caldeathe's spreadsheet now has an entry for Taum-im-Duinath saying that's also their Settlement name.
I fear the occasional person may get messed up when someone else re-sorts the list on them. It is an imperfect system. In the first 5 hours, 69 people have made a change.
