Hybridization Funnel Question

The entry for the Alchemist contains the following line:

Does this bonus apply when making the check with the hybridization funnel to combine two alchemical liquid weapons together?

It doesn't say it is the same as crafting an item, so I'd not allow it.

But ask your GM and there isn't a rule that proves it one way or another.
