How many charges does a Flint and Steel / Pack of Tindertwigs have?

Torches burn out after 1 hour. Soap can be used 50 times before it's gone. Rations Provide 1 day's worth of food and are consumed per day.
So then, how many uses do you get out of a Flint and Steel or a Pack of Tindertwigs? I'd assume it's relatively high for a Flint and Steel, maybe around 50 uses. And a pack of Tindertwigs would be roughly 20 - 25 uses. But I'm not completely sure. Can someone help me out on this?

Honestly, as GM, I'd never worry about the flint & steel. Somebody has one? They can light fires given fuel. Tracking that individually seems like too much effort.

(Heck, in home games, I don't bother making players track mundane non-special-material ammo once they've got a few levels under their belt.)

As for tindertwigs, those cost 1GP each, so I'd track them. I've never seem a "pack of tindertwigs" item, just the individual tindertwig available for 1GP in Ultimate Equipment.

Flint and steel never goes bad. At least not in any timeframe adventurers need to worry about. Its going t take a looong time for the file to wear away the rock or vice versa.

Boots wear out faster.

I assumed that the Tindertwig Item was a pack, as it costs just as much as a flint and steel, and the image in the ultimate equipment guide shows multiple Tindertwigs. Thanks for your input.

A Tindertwig is just an alchemical version of a modern day Matchstick. 1gp for one use.

But as this is labeled as a Rules Question, I'll go ahead and flag it for the Rules Forum.

Tinderwigs are relevant when you need fire right now, which is relatively rare in PFS.

I just assumed, from the number of things that they've set on fire, that pathfinders just traveled with their own torch and pitchfork mobs on retainer.

Wizards can usually get something going if you need fire right now. The Spark cantrip comes to mind.

Isn't this like asking how many times can I sharpen my sword with a whetstone before I need to shell out a few more copper coins for a new one?

Or how long does a lantern last? (Not the oil)...

Or how many fish can a fish hook catch?

As many times/as often as you can before the Kender steals it.

Then you kill the Kender and get your stuff back again. It magically becomes like a brand new item at that point.

Apparently everyone was wrong and Kender were good for something after all....
