The question is for a npcs boss monster.

it is a treant barbarian 8.

how many feats would it have?

It has 20 HD, so 10 feats.

Keep in mind Treants are immune to morale effects, including the bonuses from Rage.

Well, you're the GM, you could ignore that restriction, if you liked. Doing so isn't even particularly unbalanced if you remove the immunity wholesale (allowing things like fear effects to work, too).

Maybe it has a back story, and was once an Orc chieftain cursed by a Druid. Or Reincarnated, or Baleful Polymorphed.

Would be a good reason to, say, give it Sunder feats. A Sundering Treant is something that will make your players think twice before wading into combat.

Ah, man. Now I want to make something like this for my world.

Have the PCs stumble across some Orc pictographs. They tell the story of a powerful Orc chieftain that led his army to clearcut a forest for resources (set #1).

Later the PCs find out more of the story. A Druid hunted down the chieftain and got revenge by turning him into a Treant (set #2).

The Orc-Treant was attacked by his tribe, thinking he was just another resource. In defending himself, he destroyed the source of his power (set #3).

He now wanders the forest, constantly in a murderous rage.
