Honestly, we need to know more about the character. Who are his friends, what is his profession? Is he an investigator, a bounty hunter, a bodyguard for hire, what? And what skills does he have? Is he perceptive, sneaky, good social skills, what are we talking about here?
You've told us his race, his class, and his fighting style...you've told us nothing else about this guy, which is vital information on how to set up a solo game.

Oh yes, he is stealthy, and has a high perception , dont have his stats in front of me but I know only has a few silvers left after gear and will need money soon. I think trouble shooter , bountu hunter and principled assassin were all routes he was into, also perhaps an unsung robin hood . Eventually we are looking to add source material for riddleport and korvosa if the books are still available.

Throw some wizards and spell casters early on while they are weak, have him woke up in a magic school and he is being attack because he is trash passing and he shall not leak their secret out. He may try to sneak pass the casters with skill checks instead of combat. Also there will be potions he can find. He doesn't remember how, why and when he got to that school. All he knew is he woke up in a library and he got to go.
Once he got out of the magic school, he needs to hide from the guards. Some skill checks might help avoid fighting. If he choose to keep fighting, he will go to jail eventually. Then he will be picked by the chief of the town guards because of his fighting skills. He will get assign to jobs and he will get things done. Then they will take some of his pay away to pay for the damage he cause.
Or if he able to lay low long enough, someone will find him. A strange was looking for him, the guy who got into the magic school. He seems somewhat interested that why he woke up in the magic school and offer to help your friend find out why he woke up there in exchange to help him investigate what is happening in this town.
Either way, he will encounter many odd things happened in town. People going crazy, objects starts moving, animals can talk and sea lives tries to take over the town. Then either the town guard chief or the stranger then realized the source of those events are from the magic school from studying the patterns and locations of those events. As if it's a magic circle.
And whatever happen next. You decide. =)

4 androids have entered the city illegally. One of the ward sheriffs, a somewhat racist dwarf has hired the PC to come out of retirement and hunt these "skinjobs". The androids are each individually very powerful and they're working together to infiltrate an organization in Magnimar that actually manufactures these creatures for use in distant kingdoms as slave labor, building them with extremely short lifespans to ensure repeat business.
D-man, it'd help if we knew exactly what you're looking for here? High fantasy or gritty; political campaign or beer & pretzels; modules and published material or completely homebrewed?
I mean if you want to do a check your head combat-based game you could just run the entire city like a megadungeon and have evil and neutral factions scattered all around. Your PC picks up jobs to go into a zone to take out a gang, recover a McGuffin or rescue someone there. Maybe there's a Moriarity-type behind it all that the PC has to work up to or maybe there's just ever-increasingly powerful BBEGs.
You could put dungeons under the city too, accessible through the sewers and graveyards. Alternately you could have a guild of rangers looking to build up an organized crime family and the PC is trying to fight his way out from the inside. Give us more to go on, and we'll have more feedback.

Thank you both, I will try to get more details. Combat is primary, but crisp npc personalities are a plus, we do a moderate amount of rp. Luckily i have the magnimar sourcebook, inner sea bestiary and bestiaries 1-4. Both you guys' tropes are cool, my player hates casters( wizards especially) and almost roled an android gunslingsr so mark, i think he would dig your trope too.
