I know there are ways to boost aid another, I just don't know what they are. I know that being a halfling can boost it, but that's not something I want, what are some other ways?
By boost I mostly mean increase the bonus. However other augmentations in usefulness would be appreciated. I already know about the bodyguard feat.

This is a utility boost rather than a straight numbers boost, but a Cloistered Cleric can use aid another at a distance, and can assist multiple targets performing the same task.

You can use the trait "adopted" to get the Halfling helpful trait.
You can get arcane strike and Gloves of Arcane Strike (UE, page 236), which will add in the arcane strike damage as a boost in various ways.
You can get Benevolent armor property (UE p115), which will add the armor's enhancement bonus to the Aid Another AC bonus.

Glad I could help.
You may also want to consider using a whip for your melee weapon, as it will allow you to aid others that are in range of your whip - that is, help them against a creature that is on the far side of them.
Throw in 3 ranks of acrobatics for yourself and fight defensively and you will raise your AC by 3 (Core, Acrobatics Skill, Special, page 90).
I have a bard doing this. It would also work with a half-orc with the city raised racial trait (Advanced Race Guide, page 52) of any class.
My gnome bard, will at 10th level, be able to add +9 AC to allies (+3 helpful trait, +3 arcane strike damage bonus, +3 armor enhancement) for 4 separate attacks per round (dex is currently 16). Add in Inspire Courage to increase those allies' bonus to attack and damage by +2, with maybe a spell or two to help out (as the aid another is activated by attacks of opportunity due to the bodyguard feat), and you have some allies that are very happy to have you around.
Not sure if you were going for the AC increase or not. But if you have Benevolent added to your weapon as well (UE page 136), as your standard action, you can aid an ally to increase their attack by +weapon enhancement +3 (helpful trait) +3 (arcane strike damage due to gloves), and still add in all of your AoO to increase AC.
Edit: typo
Edit: added in the arcane strike damage to the last example (aid another in attacking)

I just answered this question last week, so here's a link for you.
Now go, drink your fill on the sweet nectar of KNOWLEDGE!

does the trait that allows you to cast a 0 lvl spell count for arcane strike? What if it's an arcane spell, but attached to a divine caster lvl?
Depends. There's a really confusing ruling that's out now that I, personally, don't like to bother with.
Overall, its easier to just take a level of Bard (arcane duelist) and get it for free. Plus it's half of the requirements needed to get into the ultimate Aid Another class, the Battle Herald.

You have to be an arcane caster to be able to take Arcane Strike as a feat.
Also, if you use the trait to obtain a cantrip and use that to get the feat, you will only get a +1 to damage (or transferred to AC or attack), as your caster level will stay at level 1.
Now, if you are looking at a melee character, the Battle Herald is likely your best bet.
If you are looking at a spellcaster, then you may want to look at a Bard, Magus or other armored arcane spellcaster (to get the benelovent armor ability). Thought, you could go for a Haramaki set of armor (or silken cermonials - UE page 9) for a full spellcaster.
