Need Quick Prep Scenario

GM Discussion

Hey there. I'm looking for a scenario that is extremely easy to prep for a VTT. Thinking of something that only has one map with it so there is not much editing? A short game? Simple?

You get my point :) Thanks

Mists of Mwangi. And it's awesome to boot!

Icebound outpost. Single cool map, simple, not much roleplay opportunity, usually runs short.

Veterans vault is 2 simple maps (EDIT) and better scenario though lots of unusual tokens required and not as fast.

You may be able to get someone to share a previously set up VTT if you can prove you own the scenario.

The Penumbral Accords uses the same map, so that's a good idea, too.

I would concur with Mists of Mwangi. Simple, fun scenario.

It is also an easy map to draw, if you are using a battlemat or plain flip-mat. There aren't too many other scenarios with so few maps.

Actually for a VTT, if you run mists, then run penumbral, you should be able to just throw an overlay on map, which would be kind of neat.

Atcually, the maps for Mists of Mwangi and Penumbral Accords are identical, and it only comprises 7 rooms and a long corridor. Some of the events and critters are different, but that is a different subject.

If you are going to look at those, also consider, for follow-up scenarios, Voice in the Void and Eyes of the Overwatched, which also have sequences in the Museum.

Spoiler:
NOT Explosive runes!

Seriously, the Blackros Museum is probably one of the most-hated locations for PFS, although I dislike that opera house in Oppara more...

Not because they are bad places, but simply because they are places where bad things happen.

I have to ask - why are you after 1 map only to prep the game?

Scenarios average about 3 maps, and that's only very slightly longer to prep. If you're spending longer than 5 minutes on a typical map, something's wrong.

Avatar, that depends on how good your VTT client is, and how good you are at resizing. That also depends on whether you are are going to add a vision blocking layer to the map. Also lighting effects, etc.
