Well, I'm pretty sure I'll do the Fighter dip. I'm one more PFS play away from levelling up. I think the free heavy armor feat, 1 free combat trait which I'll take Dodge, and extra couple of points towards Fortify save would be very helpful for a character that wants to get into the middle of battle and not just stand back.
Quickdraw will net you more AC then dodge, if you invest in a quickdraw light shield and armor spikes. Then you can make your normal attack sequence with the greataxe on your turn, take one hand off of your greataxe as a free action, don your shield as a free action, take AoO's with armor spikes, and then at the start of your turn stow your shield as a free action. And you can enchant your shield for more AC than dodge nets you. Just as a suggestion.

Very intriguing, but also a bit confusing. With a 2-handed weapon, I didn't realize there would be any way to utilize a shield in defense and still attack. I suppose I need to research this a bit. I know you could wear a buckler while attacking with a 2-handed weapon but with certain minuses.
