G'Boar Hulighan |

So I have three level one characters I can play:
Level one half-elf huntress Quinn, PFS # 174784-2
Level one human female cleric Sagart, PFS # 174784-4
and a new level one half-orc barbarian Callan, PFS # 174784-5
All have ranged capability but it might be hard to keep the half-orc out of the melee, and as a lower level guy he might get creamed! But im willing to play smart, fetch some tea if necessary, and have a good time!

Ok, table looks complete then! G'boar, bring along what character you would most like to play. This adventure will take us back into the Verduran Forest, so slight advantage to the Hunter.
Can everyone be ready to begin in 36 hours or so? I will post the opening tonight and then you will have some time to ask questions. Shopping can be finalized after the briefing but levels need to be updated before posting to the gameplay thread.

![]() |

Should be good to go, which thread is it going to be in?

![]() |

*cackles* Updated to level 5...Don't ask me to hit anything...ever...
Yet... The Master of Masters would have us learn our faults and overcome them, yes?
*is giddy at the prospect of having someone he can potentially conversate with in a language he took at chargen!*

Just to be clear, this is a scenario you have already run once, yes?
Is that to me? No, I have not run it yet. I've played in it when Capricornus GM'ed it for us, but this is the first time I have run it as GM.
Let's play on Gamma, since we're playing up. Here is the link to the opening post!
Once everyone has dotted in, I will edit and deactivate the Alpha thread.

![]() |

Glad to hear you're on the mend BD!
Sorry for not popping in sooner, April hit me like a ton of bricks. I'd love to get in on the next adventure after Tide of Twilight if there's space then though :) .

Just went back to reread the explanation. So basically, once you play a scenario, that scenario is pretty much "dead" and you cant ever play in it again to level any character, ever?

Yeah, basically. You can get credit for playing a scenario once and GMing it once. And now you can double that if you also play CORE, but if you don't play CORE or GM, then yeah, it's pretty much one and done. This is why I often have to discuss what to run with the group before we get started. I try not to leave anyone out, but that's hard to do sometimes. I promise we'll pick something you can play in next time. =)
Still waiting for Frost to check in on Gamma and then we will move on.

For some reason Gamma isn't showing in my active campaigns, instead showing as inactive.

Boo! That's a bummer. I think others have had that trouble before with reactivating the old threads and it usually straightens itself out eventually? I'm not sure what causes it, though. I tried editing the players and characters, see if that helps.
If not, do you think we should use a new thread?

That seems to have done the trick for me, at least. It's showing up again in mine?

Sorry for my delay, my daughter's birthday was yesterday and I've just been too busy to update. I'll be sure to advance the round tomorrow. =)

![]() |

Just ooc where you need to move and we will try and assist as we can! Have a great vacation!

![]() |

Just a 'head's up'. My connection is going to be spotty over the weekend on account of being out camping in the middle of nowhere. The last day I have a ghost of a chance of updating accurately until I get back is Thursday.
Going to hopefully be back Sunday, but prepared for Monday if weather is rotten.
In the current encounter Wei's kind of doing his thing over there, if it looks like ape-dude is going to wallop him fierce, fight defensively -4 to hit/+3 Dodge defense.
If he goes down quick, Wei will come back to outpost center to support/heal/whatnot.

bluedove |

If you expect to be away, it helps to give me some botting guidelines since I think we will still be in combat over the weekend. General tactics and preferred weapons, etc.

![]() |

Order of Actions:
1. Fight Defensively against Apemon using Masterwork Cold Iron Bastard Sword on attack. Numbers are listed in first combat post after the charge, so easy to implement.
2. If successful against the simian, falling back to rest of party to support/heal/'tank'(while fighting defensively and setting flanks). First priority to 'tank', second priority to heal, third priority to support.
3. If Fighting Defensively does not work well (hp-->under 25%) against Apemon, growing wings and bailing out to help rest of party, shifting to healing party members, providing buffs, if it looks bad for party, whapping self with wand a couple of times and getting back into the thick of things.
4. In event combat resolves quickly enough, applying positive channel energy to help heal up party, along with liberal yet appropriate application of the Cure Light Wounds Wand.
Do you need more information? If so, please let me know. *bows in appreciative thanks*

I will leave for vacation tomorrow for a week. I will have my phone and my IPad, but will be unable to move icons on the map... I will attempt to be very descriptive in my language if someone wold please move me on the map! Please feel free to bot me if I am preoccupied and miss a day or two!
Aloha!

bluedove |

I was wondering if I should convert our map to use google slides instead of drawing... Do a lot of you need/want to view the map via smartphone?

bluedove |

We are closing in on the end of this scenario now. So to facilitate quick chronicle crunching, please post here with the following details:
Player name: (as you would prefer to see it listed)
Character name:
PFS number:
Faction:
Day Job? (Yes or No and either roll it or I will assume you take 10)
Email: (you may spoiler, space out, or PM this if you prefer it not be shared on the boards)
Also, now would be a good time to discuss how soon I should start the next group of tables. I believe we were planning to do Among the Living next? Or should we wait for the Gameday or Shifty's Talk Like a Pirate event before starting up again?

bluedove |

Me too! Although I still don't know what the hell I could run for it.
So TLAPD will be before Online Gameday 4? I probably won't wait then, since that's a few months away still.

Expect an August start off hand for TLAPD
Off the top of my head...
Perils of the Pirate Pact
Sniper in the deep
Murder on the Throaty Mermaid
Slave pits of Absalom
Slave ships of Absalom
The Hydras Fang Incident
Glass River Rescue
You have what you hold
(Tenuously) King Xeros of Old Azlant
Part 1 of Skull and Shackles (PFS content)
Plunder and Peril (Pick one of the chapters)

bluedove |

I do have a lot of affection for Murder on the Throaty Mermaid, but with all the RP in that, it would be hard to keep brief... I think I need to be honest with myself about my tendency toward long-windedness and delays and try and go for brevity. Which of these do you think would be shortest?
Murder on the Throaty Mermaid
Slave pits of Absalom
The Hydras Fang Incident
Glass River Rescue
What are you going to run for TLAPD, Shifty?

Shifty |

What are you going to run for TLAPD, Shifty?
As you know I have run Perils on the boards a few times now, and it is really good and well laid out in clearly defined stages. It is a good length.
Hyrdas Fang Incident I have also run several times, and that one tends to be short sharp and punchy.
Slave pits was a good length. Worked well.
Mermaid is great, but better face to face as the roleplay elements can REALLY get very protracted. I have my doubts if on a timer.
GRR I ran for you guys and is good, but COULD get jammed if the players are overcautious and slow the game right down second guessing and getting (pointlessly) caught up on minutiae. I'd be dubious.

My first TLAPD
Perils
Hydras Fang
Second TLAPD
Slave Pits
Cyphermage Dilemma (also quite good!)
Third
(For my local crew)
Sniper in the deep
You have what you hold.
(For these boards)
Still unsure.

So, big question. Do I have a chance of participating in whatever is chosen next, or will that be too high level as well?
Of course! Although this last one was because you'd run it already. Glad to see you're still looking in or I would have sent you a PM soon. I will run Among the Living next, which is for levels 1-7 and has subtiers of 1-2, 3-4 and 6-7. Probably, I will run a 1-2 and a 3-4 table, each. Not positive, but I think we will be able to begin in about a week or so.
When Talk Like a Pirate Day kicks off, I think Hydra's Fang looks like my best bet. I've played in that and I remember it being pretty quick and straightforward. Sounds like it should be fun! Er... We'll skin the scallywags and toss em in tha drink! Arrr! ^_^
