Module to test new players

Advice

Hey everyone, my group is bringing in some new players possibly and I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion for a good module that is balanced in roleplay, combat and problem solving. I am looking for something not too high of a level as some are new to pathfinder (however have played 3rd), was thinking level 1-6 as a starting point. I want to run my current players and new ones through the module to make sure the group works well together before bringing them into our current adventure paths...kinda a try out I suppose. So far Carrion Hill has caught my eye, but I'm a carrion crown fan so there is that.

Can't run the harrowing or masks of the living god as we have already played through them.

Shadow Lodge

Crypt of the Everflame is prety amazing for a starting module. You might also try Dragon's Demand. Its pretty good too.

Any of the "First Steps" PFS modules would work. With some slight mods you can make the organizations and NPCs fit any game world and they're basically just favors for people. They involve RP with the NPCs, a modest adventure and some small RP conflicts along the way in the plotlines.

Ooh also: Hollow's Last Hope! Its a GameMastery mod, not exclusively PF, but it intros that area of Golarion and its a nice mix like you're looking for. RP w/the townies and lumberjacks, skill use in the forest, and eventually a "dungeon" skulking through an old ruin. Cherry on top: if the party does well they get to feel like heroes!

Thank you for the recommendations so far! Would like to try to stay away from first level modules if possible so the players can get a feel for what the characters can really do without over complicating combat just yet.

Carnival of Tears: a good mystery involving RP. There's games and fun that turn deadly and ultimately lots of running combat.

Liberty's Edge

Feast of Ravenmoor is pretty outstanding but it's level 3 so its still low level and may not be what you are looking for.

I started out my guys on "We be goblins Too" and there's actual a 1 and 2 for it. It's a hilarious short module that'll last about 2 to 6 sessions and cleverly introduces skill checks through fantastic dice games.

The players spend about half a session playing games against each other highlighting their various strengths and weaknesses. Then when they understand their characters do they actually go out and do combat.

Shadow Lodge

If you are looking for something to test dungeon crawling, combat, skill use, teamwork, and problem solving, check out Jacob's Tower. It's quick, easy to run, and fun. It doesn't have any roleplaying forced into it, but it can be a great beginner romp to get the hang of the system and learn the ropes. It runs levels 1-5 right now, with every session at a different level.
