I'm a bit confused as how other players help with a check, especially during combat.
Let's say my character encounters a monster and I reveal a weapon (Strength: Melee) to defeat it. Can another player at my location then reveal a Strength: Melee weapon to add that die to my roll? I know they can discard a blessing to help me with my roll, but what about a weapon? I'm not so sure, but roleplaying-wise, it does make sense as the whole party is helping defeat the monster.
Thanks!

No. Another PC cannot play a card that changes the base combat check. If you have already set it at Strength:Melee, they can't also or can't cast a Spell that changes it to say an Arcane check. While the other people are there to help, they can't actual fight the monster for you.
Beyond that you only have to remember this rule for each check: 1 card type and ability per PC per check.

You can only use a card to help someone else in combat if the card says you can. This includes things like the text of some ranged weapons that Drunkenping mentioned, blessings, some spells that can be used to help others (Strength, Guidance, etc). It does not include weapons or attack spells (Force Missile, Lightning Touch, etc) that specifically say "your combat check".
There are assumptions people want to make outside of that, but the rules of the game are governed by the cards.
