And I never misrepresented your position, I am merely pointing out that to be consistent, you would have to rule the sale price never increased, which is what your original point said, but then you said it "could" or "possibly" increase. Those comments aren't consistent.
In one case, I'm discussing what I see as RAW. In the other, I'm discussing a table rule - how I would deal with the situation as a GM. The fact that one is RAW and one is Rule 0 is going to (by definition) be inconsistent; I don't see that as a bad thing, nor did I intend for the statements to be consistent - I didn't.
I'm not certain that there's really a reason to beat this horse further. We disagree on what the RAW says; I made a statement indicating how I might handle the pricing at my table, without implying that it's RAW, and I don't really see that that's a problem because it's my privilege as a GM (and as long as my players are happy, it's really the business of no one else).
