You can do live feeds on youtube. If you want people to watch you might want to switch to that.

I don't see mention of a sub requirement at the Help page

Nope, but the option to set it up is grayed out and your unable to enable it until you are in good standing, and have 100 subs, and approved.

Most likely like most other features of YouTube this will come to everyone in good standing at some point.

As far as I know, you can view a stream off of youtube just as easily as you can view one on youtube.

Actually with twitch you can do both, record it on Twitch and it gives you an option to then upload it to youtube. The only problem is when you do that its limited to 2 hour chunks. If you take a break around that mark and start a new recording theres no problem or you could break up a 4-5 hour session by making highlights then uploading to youtube.
