Is there a limit to cards in the game?

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game General Discussion

For example if I bought 2 of the second chapter in October can I add the weapons from both?, or promos for example is it limited to one card per pathfinder game or can you have as many copies as you want? I hope I was clear. I'm really curious about this:)

From what I know, the game was designed to have one copy of each card that they put out, not to add in extra packs and such. Would it break the game? Maybe... you'd have more of the higher level monsters in your monster deck and more of the more powerful weapons and items and such. I would say don't do it.

What's your thoughts on the promos one of each per game or more than one of each per game?

I wouldn't put more than one Poog of Zarongel promo in, because he's supposed to be a unique creature. You could put in a couple copies of Fire Sneeze if you wanted, that wouldn't be OP or anything.

Except that Fire Sneeze is a really good spell.

I don't know what the designers thought process is for the promo cards, but I am pretty sure you shouldn't add additional cards from what comes in the basic set & expansions. They were very specific that they only put in a certain amount of cards in each set for a play balance reason.

Now again, you can do what ever you want. You paid your money and it's your game. If you want a great chance to get better weapons, then by all means, add in the better weapons from the second set.

From a game balance point of view, it's not really going to wreck the game if every player has a Poog of Zarongel, or every spellcaster has a Fire Sneeze... but I wouldn't let any one player have more than one copy of any given promo card.

But adding extra boxes of future sets? That's uncharted territory there, and I'd avoid it.

In my mind, the ideal number of each promo card per set is 1. It's a flavor thing. There's only one Poog, only one Squealy Nord, etc.

But y'know, whatevs. Just don't add them till you start Burnt Offerings, because that's the goblin pack.
