They flipped over another trick card, a troll slayer sophie added to the core set at 2.2 million.
28 mm scale (normal rpg scale), made of bones, and extras available for $2 each.

I have no fear that all of the stretch goals within Expansion 2 (probably Expansion 3 too) will be reached.
And even if they aren't then have no fear:

@Bryan I am currently pledging towards both expansion 2 and 3, and neither of them look worth it at this time. But I trust Reaper and am confident that they both will be by the end.Bryan Stiltz about 3 hours ago
@Adam - thank you. We have plans to accelerate their reveals, and/or manage the failure to do so without disappointing people.
So pledge away! :-)

The shadow creatures definitely cemented my pledge of Expansion set #2 - well, I had already pledged for it, it just confirmed that it was a good pledge. :-)
And Mashaaf! It's one of those sculpts which I might not have found a use for, but it's just begging to have it's own adventure built around it.
Someone over on the Reaper boards suggested something along the lines of a kobold tribe worshipping it and keeping it fed at the bottom of their cave system... but fed with what? ;-)
Expansion set 2 is definetely in my list.

Painted Orcus prototype - the finished model will have bigger wings, as indicated on the Kickstarter model.

Update with video of more of the models!
No secret sneak peek, though.
I thought Paizo would throw in and do a bit of advertising for this KS but with 3 days left I guess they aren't doing it....it's a shame I would like to see some more stuff unlocked.
As it is some of the expansions are pretty lite...we could use a bit more steam here at the end.
They did send out an e-mail, but I think it was "only" a store e-mail, so if one isn't signed up for those you would have missed it (I'm not either). So not as big a push as last time, where I think everyone got an e-mail.
It did cause a spike at the time, though.

I also can't say how much I think it would help if they were to let people buy add-on packs of stuff from the Core Expansions, provided that the buyer had already ordered the expansion itself. Look at it this way: Apart from attracting new pledgers, the best way to push up the big number is to give people more to buy. But right now, most of what they're revealing is either in the core set (probably not lots of new pledge $$ there, since people are in for $100 already, though maybe a bit in extra add-ons), one of the Expansions (in which I imagine most people are either in or out, and there's no add-on money to be had at present), or one of the Orange Add-on reveals, which actually generate new $$ from the people who want that add-on. I can't think of any reason to rule out Core Expansion add-on packs other than the complexity of figuring out who has access to them and who doesn't. But I wouldn't think that would be all that hard. I think Reaper's missing a trick on this one.

Lame. They should throw it up on the blog.
Well, I don't know if 'Lame' is the right word. It's not really Paizo's job to promote the Bones Kickstarter. The fact that Paizo does *anything* to promote another company's Kickstarter (admittedly, a company that they work closely with, but still) is pretty cool of them, as far as I'm concerned.
Lame seems kinda harsh in other words ...

They did last time and the reasoning was that there were Paizo products in the original Bones....nothing has changed. We have Paizo products in Bones 2, what changed that they aren't doing the blog?

Here is what Lisa had to say:
GentleGiant wrote:And I'm still curious as to why Paizo hasn't advertised this too. There are both Pathfinder heroes and villains in the KS + a whole lot of useful minis for several of the Adventure Paths.
Maybe it's starting to be competitive with the AP prepainted minis?
Several Paizo employees have written about how they pledged for the first KS, though.I am in on this set also personally.
The first time around, we wanted to help the Kickstarter get off the ground. I'm not sure they need our help any longer considering how much money they have raised already! Perhaps we will give them a little push in the last week.
-Lisa
Last time, the Kickstarter didn't have a lot of attention, so Paizo sent out an email to draw attention to it. This time, drawing attention isn't really needed. This Kickstarter had a huge draw from the get go. It was funded almost immediately and broke $1 million in the first day, it took considerably longer for the previous Kickstarter to hit that point.
This Kickstarter is also very different. I think one of the big things that's holding people back on pledging more is the shipping costs. Granted, Reaper is being very generous about shipping, eating the inevitable cost increase next year, eating the Kickstarter percentage, and allowing the cost to be included towards the Kickstarter. BUT there are a lot of people who aren't willing to pay something like $100 extra on top of the two to three hundred in minis they might want.
For some, the shipping might double the price of their order, for others it matters little in the over-all cost. But, Shipping is definitely a factor in this one, and is probably holding several people back from pledging more and increasing their shipping ontop of their pledge.

WRONG! We sent out the email to everybody just like we did last time! The best push that we can give to a Kickstarter is to email the whole mailing list. This is what we did this time. That is much more effective than a blog post or a store email.

This was probably the one time in my life that I didn't necessarily want the "don't contact me about business partners" option selected. :D
Yea I opted out of that out of pure habit also (I imagine many did the same). Its why I think a blog post would have been more helpful, or at least hit a slightly different audience then an email.

That's interesting because I got the email for the first Kickstarter, but haven't received this one. I haven't changed any email settings since last year.

Looks an awful lot like an upright tarrasque being sculpted:

It certainly is... big!

GentleGiant |

The first dude was really just a slightly oversized Orc - he was by no means a Large size mini.
I was hoping for real honest-to-goodness Ogre size :)
I would beg to differ.
Size comparison (GW Ogre, Reaper Ogre, Reaper Human).Any bigger than that and you move up to the Reaper Giants.

I received that email and I pledged once I clicked through to the Reaper KS site.

But in Kickstarter news!
Core Expansion #2 has revealed the last parts:
Baphomet, Demon Lord of Minotaurs! You know you want it! Especially if...
Dracolisk! When an ordinary basilisk just doesn't cut it.
Frog Demon - whether it's a Slaad or a Hezrou is up for debate.
Caryatid Columns - when you just want your PCs to go "Wow, that's a nice statu... crap, it just stabbed me!"

Ugh, at first Expansion #2 had no draw for me, but now it's desirable. I'm already at $195 invested, I'm gonna have to find some way of squeezing out another $50...
First World Problems :(
I got members of my gaming group to pitch in. Particularly if you are usually the one that gets stuff like minis and such, its pretty easy to get them to chip in a few bucks each, if you can get 3 or 4 of them to help, that can easily cover the cost of an expansion.

Tried that on the last one, got a group of togethers to pitch in and I fronted. Guess who never got paid back by any of them? Now all the minis are mine and they don't get any of them.
The players in my group are a lot of cheap skates. I make less money than several of them, yet I always bring snacks to every game session (most don't even bring a bottle of water for themselves). Period. I also always fork over money for pizza/food. I am the only one to have bought all the hardcover books, and several of the setting books.
They often come up with excuses like they're broke right now, but then a few days later I hear about how so-and-so dropped $200 on magic cards, or $80 on a new Warmachine mini, or just spent $60 on video game DLC. Granted, we all have our own hobbies, but when they show up at the table and most of their characters are using minis I bought and painted....
'tis most frustrating.
