I would agree on that. I read the campaign trait in the Player's Handbook and I thought it suited the character and premise the best.

There is a large problem with that choice of god in combination with touched by divinity, seeing as how much later my reply is, I'm guessing your GM might have pointed it out to you already.
However it might at some point become prudent, for the stories sake, to change your religious affiliation to Iomedae as one of the people who she took pity on.
Your race is aasimar, another thing that will not work out like you might want to. unless timetravel is involved
