2handed Kensai build? Is it possible?

Sovereign Court

Hello all,

I'm thinking of building a 2handed weapon Kensai. I'm curious if there's any way to make this work as I hear the Combat Casting requires the use of the offhand to deliver a touch attack.

I was really looking to use either a Naginata (or possibly a Nodachi). I would think that a x4crit weapon that I could get Keen on and feats like Critical Focus would really make the x4crit damage great. Especially if I used Perfect Strike to increase it to x5crit and maximum damage. Any suggestions or is a 2handed Kensai going to be really wonky as subpar in PFS? (I'm not looking for an ultimate build but wondering if this setup is really going to be more of a pain/hassle than enjoyable)

If this wasn't for PFS you could use THIS to be able to use those weapons with the magus's abilities.

Unfortuntely I'm playing in PFS so I'm trying to figure out how I could play a 2handed wielding warrior that focuses on critting and dealing massive damage.....maybe I should look elsewhere like Barbarian or Fighter?

It's not optimal but it is doable. You can't do spell combat with a two-hander but you can do spellstrike. The other major downside in this case is that spellstrike gives you a weapon's threat range for spells but not the crit multiplier so you'd really be losing out on spell crit damage compared to using a weapon with a better threat range.
