Ways to beat the Confusion Spell?

Does anyone have a favorite way to negate the spell Confusion? It's been having a great effect in my current games, but when players are inflicted, they often find themselves frustrated as they roll percentile and watch their beloved characters smack themselves in the face repeatedly.

It's happened enough that I'm looking for (preferably low-cost) solutions. Protection from (Alignment) doesn't seem to help since the "protections from possession and control" doesn't apply to characters in confusion. Any ideas out there, beyond hoping your caster with dispel magic didn't fail their save as well?

Nice, I haven't heard of the Medallion. I like the fact the power fades only on a successful second save.

Any others out there?

Meditation Tea - 30 gp

Drinking this cloudy tea has a soothing effect that clarifies your thoughts. For 10 minutes after drinking the tea, you gain a +2 alchemical bonus against mind-affecting effects. If you drink meditation tea while suffering from a mind-affecting affect, you may immediately roll another saving throw (with the +2 bonus) against the effect; you may gain this particular benefit only once per day.

It doesn't negate the effects but it's a good cheap bonus. Either drink it beforehand if you know the enemy has mind-effecting spells or you can try and force it down an allies throat that is affected. Or hope that you roll to act normally during the confusion and quaff it.

I love alchemical bonsuses....just weren't enough of them in 3.5

(Bolded- my edit)

Wow, that's pretty awesome for 30gp! Thanks anthony, I'll definitely pass this option on so my frustrated players can take advantage of this.

The spell Suppress Charms and Compulsions, from Andoran: Spirit of Liberty, is what you are after. Failing that, Calm Emotions removes the confused condition, but may also suppress beneficial effects.
