Sovereign Court 4/5

#4–21: Way of the Kirin (3-7)
When :
Thursday, July 25, 2013, 9AM CDT (GMT-6) (Click date for Timezone conversion)
Where : Roll20 + G+ Hangout
Who : PCs can be anywhere between lvls 3 and 7, sub-tiers 3-4 and 6-7.
What : On the eastern continent of Tian Xia, the Pathfinder Society remains a small player in the greater political landscape, but Amara Li, head of the Lantern Lodge in the teeming city of Goka, has plans to change that. In order to secure the Pathfinder Society's place as an influential organization on the far side of the world from the Grand Lodge in Absalom, she must orchestrate an alliance with the mysterious Way of the Kirin. But the longtime rival of the Pathfinder Society, the Aspis Consortium, has plans to form an alliance of its own, and if the consortium succeeds, the Pathfinder Society's hopes of cementing their place in the Dragon Empires could be dashed forever.

This is Lantern Lodge's retirement scenario! All Lantern Lodge members who play this will get a special boon before changing factions. However any and all faction members are invited to play!
Remember, your Lantern Lodge PC's need to change their factions by August 14th, 2013, when both Lantern Lodge and Shadow Lodge will be officially removed from PFS play.

RSVP here with what character you want to play! See you Thursday!

Gah, you'd think that after 20+ online games I'd have gotten the kinks out by now, haha.

The time for this game is 9am MDT as said in the thread title. I could have sworn I changed the time in the details, but alas I did not.

Time in title, good.
Time in link provided, good.
Time in details, chalk that up to it being after midnight, haha.

3/5

I would like to be there, with either a Rogue 3/Evoker 1 or a Barbarian 1/Alchemist 2.

So, I'm still really new to pathfinder society, if you only have lvl 1 characters you can't play through higher tiers at all? If I can play I'd like to try it but I might not have any characters high enough (all of mine are 1). Sorry if this is a newb question *sheepish*.

Hi, Aura - welcome to online PFS play.

That is correct, you cannot play a lvl 1 PC in a Lvl 3-7 scenario - but, you could use one of the PFS legal Pre-Generated PCs found in the Paizo PFS Player Resources page here:

http://paizo.com/pathfinderSociety/playerResources

Soir uses Roll20.net - you can find the information for that here:

Overview : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivSCycDh9cg
Basic Use : https://wiki.roll20.net/Getting_Started_Players
Dice Reference: https://wiki.roll20.net/Dice_Reference
Macros : https://wiki.roll20.net/Macros

He also uses G+ Hangouts for Voice - you can find information on that here:

Let us know if you have any additional questions, and have fun! :)

Travis, welcome aboard!

Aura, you are correct that you cannot play your level 1 characters in a 3-7 tiered scenario. That's not to say you can't play! There are pregenerated characters available to play in that level range. They are at 4th and 7th levels. You can find them here on Paizo's site, or someone could post a link there. I would but I'm currently on my tablet and not my laptop. Basically, you can play a pre-gen and experience the scenario for credit that you can save for one of your level 1 characters. They won't get credit for it until they hit level three, however. (Or, if it's that character's first chronicle sheet, I believe you can apply it right away with God value reduced to 500gp. Not seen it happen not have I chosen to do it myself, so not entirely sure myself.)

Any more questions? I know that could have been more clear...

If you play a 1st-level pregenerated character, you may apply credit from the pregenerated character played to a newly created character of your very own, with the gp gained reduced to 1,398 gp (or 699 gp for slow advancement track characters). If you play a non-1st-level pregenerated character, you may apply the credit to your character as soon as she reaches the level of the pregenerated character played.

So not third, but either 4th or 7th.

I would be glad to assist Miss Li in whatever way I can.

Thank you for the correction. Keep forgetting that.
