Tomb of Horrors (Revised) is a version of the classic module converted to 3.5e D&D. Okay, not really talking much about a conversion right now. Having been brought up to 3.5e, it won't be too much to make it Pathfinder, I hope. :P
Right now, I am looking for some viable options for placement in Golarion. There is likely to be more than one, so I am looking for any possibility that seems to fit with the legend of the site. Now the download, except for the maps, doesn't work. For those of you wanting the download, I have it up at Dropbox. Send me a private message with your e-mail, and I will send you the link.

Ugh. PLEASE DO NOT USE THAT. Calling that piece of watered-down crap the "Tomb of Horrors" is like me calling my pea shooter an Atlas missile. It's just grotesque. Every time someone links to that thing, a kitten dies and the original Tomb of Horrors loses a little bit more of its well-earned prestige. Please, for the love of our hobby, don't do it!

That version of Tomb of Horrors is mind-cringingly bad. However, there are much better fan versions already converted to pathfinder which you should most definitely use instead if you are planning to do this

And again, NOBODY answers the question.....well, never mind. I don't give a hoot what your opinion of the adventure is. I asked for placement ideas. Personally, I don't want the "Kill Them All" version. matter of tastes. Mine, not yours. If this sounds like a rant, it is. I did not ask opinions on how good the module was. I have seen the other & it isn't that good to me. I can get as nostalgic as the next guy, but I don't want to play a 1e game. I want to play Pathfinder. That means that the rules themselves will actually tone down the adventure.
The original was for a HUGE party. Average parties today are MUCH smaller. 1e had no concept of balancing encounters. The 3.5 conversion is pretty deadly when adjudicated correctly. I have seen many parties, that don't actually think & try to hack n slash thru, get slaughtered in it.
So, back to the topic of the thread, "Where would you place it in Golarion?" All other replies are officially ignored.

Out of curiosity, has anyone ever updated/converted Return to the Tomb of Horrors to pathfinder?
As for placing the Tomb of Horrors, what about Geb or Osirion? An ancient tomb, recently uncovered, that once housed a rival to Geb or one of the anicent pharaohs, rumored to contain old necromantic projects and ancient treasure.

Back before I started playing Pathfinder, I did actually convert Return to the Tomb of Horrors to 3.5. It would be fairly easy to convert to Pathfinder from there. That being said, it was the one and only adventure I ever did convert, so god only knows if it was any good, but my party did seem to enjoy it, even the guy that got killed, raised as undead and then possessed by Acererak. If I can find it again amongst my old files, I can post a link to the Word file if anyone is interested. If I remember correctly, I built it for a 4 player 13-15 level party.
