Minor thing I noticed but otherwise I love your beautiful perfect face for making this, the Royal Enforcer doesn't seem to give the -1 to unkeep (unrest I am currently lacking so I dunno on this bit) Thank you from the bottom of my black heart!
Hey, thanks for your comment! If I'm not mistaken, the Royal Enforcer doesn't apply the -1 to Unrest all the time or automatically. You may choose whether or not to use that ability or not during the Upkeep phase. If you choose to do so, you have to roll a Loyalty check to see if you succeed. Success means you reduce Unrest by 1 whereas failure means you damage your Loyalty by 1.

Brad,
First of all, let me say, BRAVO! I (and my Kingmaker players) are very appreciative of your work. A small request if at all possible. Would you be able to add in an "ad-hoc" consumption line that will add in with the total on the overall kingdom page.
In my game, the PCs are loaning BPs to Varnhold at a rate of 4 per turn. I would like to be able to just add in random consumption increases for various reasons such as this loan, or any other random, non-RAW instances.
If this is not something that everyone could use, we could just keep a note on the sheet somewhere, but if you think is could be useful, please have at it.
Again, you are one of the reasons the Pathfinder community is head-and-shoulders above the rest! Keep up the good work!
Thanks,
-Strange Doc

I just banged my head against the issue of making just such a sheet for like two weeks, and the result isn't nearly as badass as this one. Arg. At least I learned something about spreadsheets and the rules, consoling myself that my effort makes my minor rules adjustments slightly easier to implement.
I think, for my sanity, I may have to pretend I never saw your amazing sheet. I say, only mostly kidding. :)

Heya Brad,
Again - thanks for this.
I was just converting my player's kingdom over & apart from noticing several
things which have disappeared with the new incarnation of the rules (not
your fault ;) so no worries on your behalf), what I did notice was when I
changed their 'Office of the City Guard' into a 'Watch Tower' as the closest
equivalent that fit our storyline - I noticed that the +2 Defense didn't update
into the sheet anywhere that I could see. (I think it's supposed to go into
the City tab & probably the Overall tab as well...?)
I'll let you know if I find any more - but it's late now - so bed time for
me! :)

Brad - just noticed something on the "Kingdom" sheet.
The hex advantages and special terrain modifications that add fractional benefits (like roads adding +1 Economy per 4 roads) - you have it set up to round down at the final calculation stage, which means that (for example) if you have 2 roads and 2 rivers, it's adding +1 Economy.
Can I suggest that rather than rounding down at the final stage, instead on the hidden columns you use the =Int() function with your existing formulae in place? That will round it down there rather than later, which should give correct figures. There are only a few places that need this particular alteration.

Hi guys. I'm new here so I'll have to advertise myself a little :)
I've made automated fillable pdf kingdom sheet from Ultimate Campaign for use with Kingmaker.
If anyone is interested here is topic link
Also I have to congratulate Brad and Berhangen on good job with this spreadsheet. :)
If my group weren't already accustomed using virtual table application (TTopRPG) and fillable pdf, we would surely use this spreadsheet :)
@Deryen
Graveyard is adding +1 to Loyalty. +1 Economy was a mistake in Kingmaker rules. Paizo confirmed this in one of the topics for Kingmaker

I spotted the same thing, Matt. The trick is how to add it. There's already "Mine" and "Mine w/Resource". I think there needs to be a "Mine w/path to Foundry" and "Mine w/Resource and path to Foundry" on the Kingdom sheet. For now I'm fudging it: my players have a Mine w/Resource so I've added 1 of those, and because there's a road route to the city with their Foundry, I just added an extra Mine and put a note so I'd remember why.

? Why is there no Viceroy on the spreadsheet ?
Just a guess, since I'm not Brad, but since the Viceroy's primary purpose is the management of sub-kingdoms, and has no effect on the Kingdom as a whole, it serves no purpose on the overall Kingdom sheet. I'm sure it's on Brad's to-do list, though.

Another guess, but since those are settlement specific stats, and since the spreadsheet is currently focused on the overall position of the kingdom rather than the settlements which comprise it, Brad has implementing those details on the back-burner. Again, I'm sure it's on the to-do list.

Hello everyone,
I'm having issuing trying to edit the xlsx sheet and I was wondering if anyone can help me.
I added some hex improvement by copying a row and changing the values but now I can't change the comment for the copied row. Does anyone know how to do this? I right-clicked on the cell but there is no edit comments only create a new comment.

But the Viceroy's leadership attribute contributes to the Economy.
Also adding a Graveyard does not add the +1 to loyalty.

Graveyards are adding to economy and not loyalty. Cell AG10 should be 0 and AH10 should be 1?

I've made some updates and hosted my copy of the sheet as version 4.3. It can be found HERE.
Changes:
Graveyard bonus now modifies Loyalty correctly.
Economy and Stability modifiers for multiple rivers and roads now counts each separately.
Added Viceroy Kingdom role.
Watchtower now adds +2 to Defence.
Added "connected to foundry" modification to Mines.

First off thanks to Brad for all the hard work, and Chemlak for your fixes. I don't know what I'd do without this sheet!
One thing I noticed is the Royal Enforcer seems to add an automatic -1 to the Unrest Increment value. I'm not great with excel, but removing the Ruler made Unrest Increment go to 3 (whereas it should be 4), and if I removed the Royal Enforced subsequently the Unrest Increment would then go to it's correct value of 4. In the formula for unrest I thought I could see a -1 associated with the square for the enforcer, but I'm not sure.
Anyways, am I high? Is this correct? I thought (and Brad seemes to confirm in a post on the top of this page) that the enforcer chooses whether he applies this unrest reduction at the risk of a loyalty reduction?

Well spotted, Carl. I'll remove the offending references in the Unrest calculation and add something to the RE's comments. I'll be working on this in about 8 hours - which is the deadline for everyone else to put their thoughts in on something:
An older version of the Kingmaker spreadsheet had a page in which the names of the leaders and their stats could be input, then the names were selected from drop down lists on the Overall work sheet for each leadership role, which then pulled the stat information across to calculate the bonus each role provides.
My personal version of Brad's sheet has this implemented, along with a column for whether the character has the Leadership feat, and the optional skill bonus rule for the leadership bonus (every 5 ranks in an associated skill adds +1 to the leadership bonus). You just need to enter the character names, ability scores (not bonuses), skill ranks for the various skills (leave blank if you don't want to use that rule), and put a number 1 in the Leadership column (where applicable) on the new "Rulers" sheet.
The formulae I used to make this work are untidy as all hell (brute force over elegance), but they work correctly (as far as I can tell).
Would people like me to include that on the next version I host?

Updated! (Same link as before, now v4.3b - see Credits and Version sheet for details of changes.)
I didn't include my "Rulers" sheet in this version, but can do so in the future if people would like - it would take a little while to get the generic sheet set up the same way my personal version is (hours, not days), anyway.
For now, if anyone spots any calculation errors, please post here or PM me.
Oh, and in case it's an issue for anybody at all: I freely give this spreadsheet for the use of anyone who wishes to, either in part, in full, or by any means modified. It is not my sole work, but the collaboration of many. Use it, change it for personal use, change it and post a new version. Do with it what you wish, with my blessing.

To Brad & Chemlak, Thank you and my hat is off to the both of you good sir's.
For a bit of constructive criticism though, can the calculations for the leadership bonuses and vacancy penalties please be double checked. I'm not sure if my pen and paper math is wrong or if there is an issue with the sheet's math, but something feels screwy.
All in all though, a very nice sheet. And I'm wondering how long before trade routes are included, along with the associated traits (Corruption, Crime, etc.).
Keep up the great work. :)

An example would be helpful, Otaku. Where are you seeing a problem? Is it a specific leadership role? Can you give me the details of a character you've dropped into a role, what you expect the bonus to be, and what it works out at on the sheet?
I probably won't get a chance to look at it until Friday, but getting the basics right is essential.
And I'll be working on the optional rules once I'm pretty sure the core rules are solid.

Sorry, my bad. I've had a closer look at the calculations, and there seems to be an error with the Loyalty Leadership bonus.
E.g.: Consort (+3 Loyalty), Councilor (+2 Loyalty), Royal Enforcer (+3 Loyalty), Total of 8 Loyalty from leadership bonuses. However, the sheet is only adding up to 6 for some reason.
Everything else though is coming along quite nicely.
Thanks again.

Consort, Heir and Viceroy only provide half bonuses, yes. Don't worry about making small mistakes like that: it's that kind of thing that keeps me on my toes and helps us all understand the rules better.
One thing I know I've not tested is low ability scores in the various roles (particularly the three I just mentioned). If anyone can check the maths on that, it would be great. I know it's unlikely to crop up in real play, but I'd like to make sure the sheet is robust before diving into the next bits (the various optional rules). My time for testing and making changes is severely curtailed until Friday.
(And no, I've not forgotten the Settlement statistics, nor Fame and Infamy. They're on my to do list.)

Hi, I have an older version of this sheet that I've been using and will likely upgrade to your version soon. I would like to include the leaders sheet.
My question is about adding a custom building and having it appear in the drop down selection on the city map. For the life of me, I can't seem to figure out how to add it. Is there a way to add a building for that drop down?

The current version of the sheet doesn't use a grid with drop downs to pick buildings from, so I'm not 100% sure about what you want to do, but my best guess is as follows:
There is probably a hidden sheet with the building statistics on. First you'll need to Un-hide that sheet. (If there isn't a hidden sheet, there will be hidden columns or rows on the sheet where you select the buildings.)
Unprotect the sheet if it is protected.
Insert a new row for your custom building into the table of buildings. You can insert this row anywhere except the very top or bottom of the existing building types.
Fill in the building details in the appropriate columns.
Protect and/or hide the columns/rows/sheet again.
Go back to your city grid. Your new building should be in the drop down.

Excellent, there were two lists. I kept changing one, but realized the range was on the sheet itself in hidden cells. Thanks for your help
That said, I have another question, in the Kingdom tab, you have tool tips... or comments that float right under the box where you can input the amount of the particular item. These have the cost and explanation of what they are, what they do, etc. How do you edit these? When I move one on my sheet, it seems to "unlock" them from their positions, and all start to show up in that one place, in addition, they don't have the little red triangle in the upper right corner of the cell that indicates there is a comment associated with it. I'm lost trying to edit these or even know what they are called to look it up in the help files. Any advice on this? Thanks again, I'll send my sheet to you if you message me.

Me and my players started messing with this stuff on google docs(which btw, is awesome that it works so well, didn't have to screw around with stuff to get it to work) looks good so far, other then the obvious missing stuff(and the fact i don't actually have a copy of ultimate rulership/battle).
Problems we've notice so far include the edicts do not calculate BP costs(though I did see you included notes for yourself), the DC seems to by way off(its 55 higher then what the kingdom is at using the old kingdom sheet, which says way off) and one of my players noticed something with the rivers.it appears that if you have a single river tile, all the coastline tiles are ignored, at least for cavern
That same player also had to fix the building stats in the city sheets, but he is pretty sure that was an issue with converting it to google docs.
This whole post is kinda a mess but hopefully it helps you out a little bit.
I was also having problems with 'Income' on the overall page and Consumption(C30) on the city summary page.
