Liberty's Edge

~Liran Ver'Ha~

Liran chuckles at Sichelgaita's remark. "I can say I have never seen the holy powers of a paladin not help in the depths of the world wound. A cleric, or paladin. Without one to see after your own holy safety, those trips are much more dangerous."

Taking a drink, the elven knight turns to regard the tiefling to the side of the conversation with a raised eyebrow.

"An outcast of Cheliax my friend? I know how those devil worshipers treat individuals of your type. Please introduce yourself. While such slinking may be common place in Cheliax, we in Andoran try to be open and more hospitable."

Liberty's Edge

"Outcast since birth." He says with a broad grin. "Grew up on the ocean, so you may say I am a man of no land..." He chuckles softly. "The man who adopted me as a baby, whisked me away from that salving ship bound for the Godless Empire, was an Andoran Half-Elf who was granted permission by the government to hunt slavers." A cat with a lean build and bright blue eyes clambers up his leg and meows in a demanding manner, the man begins petting her. She doesn't have the intelligent spark that a familiar would have in their eyes, and seems to be a typical cat, though one of proper breeding.

"I'm Erkos." He says, adjusting so the cat can climb up to his shoulders and watch the world from there. He extends a hand and smiles. The young man is tall, with the proud looking antlers that top his head he reaches 7"6', though he is extraordinarily thin. Small tendrils hang from his chin, mimicking a beard, and under his robe a pair of hooves can be seen peeking out. His tail hangs limp right now, but it appears to be well muscled and likely capable of being used for tasks.

"I was not skulking either, I was appreciating the scenery." he stops and eyes the knight up and down, smiling in a very appreciative manner. "Though I prefer the brawn of a half-orc or well build human you're a very handsome fellow."

Grand Lodge

Kyros looks up, then whistles. "I never noticed your antlers. Hmm. Normally I'm the first to see everything."

Liberty's Edge

"It was dark." The Tiefling said, grinning and showing his sharp teeth.

The cat on his shoulder leans forward to sniff at Kyros' fingers.

Grand Lodge

"Same with the cat. Must be off my game after Nerosyan. Saw a lot of good men and women die that day."

Liberty's Edge

Those are real? Thank the accidental god, I thought i was going to have to cut back.

Grand Lodge

Kyros laughs. "And the WINGS! By Abadar I NEVER pay attention when you're around!"

Liberty's Edge

Erkos looks at his wings. "They might as well not be here, they don't allow me to fly." He frowns slightly. "The cat is new though."

Grand Lodge

"Well your wings are certainly more impressive than mine."

Liberty's Edge

The Tiefling tilts his head. "I've never met a half-elf with wings."

Silver Crusade

The tiny azata flits back to the paladin, and flying upside down faces her... well, face. "You were friendly, too! And, you were all worried that people would call you see-- well, that other name. And, also, you were very nice, and you smack those demons really well!" A huge grin at the target of her comments, and then she swoops to right herself. She flies to the bar, to discuss with the bartender the benefits of keeping glasses that smaller patrons might be able to hoist on their own.

Sheliantha nods to the others present and rises to flow into a court'sey befitting the most formal of the Grand Prince's courts. "You are most kind, Sichelgaita, and I am ever so glad we had met. I look forward to a time my duties free up and we can spend more time together."

Resuming her seat, she watches the interchange between the elves (demi and not) and tiefling. "Nor have I, save those that attain them with magic. Not even at the Tanglebriar, where hardship and mutation are orders of the day. Many elves and their descendants can fly, of course. It almost becomes hmm, de rigeur? for students of the arcane."

Grand Lodge

"That's what I meant, Erkos."

Liberty's Edge

~Liran Ver'Ha~

Taking the proffered hand in his scale gauntleted, the tall elf chuckles, "Well, I am sorry to disappoint you. My kind do not tend to be the brawny types. I do enjoy the flattery though."

A flash of anger races across Liran's face as he over hears the Tanglebriar, but a smile quickly covers it back up.

"A half elf with wings would be a rather interesting sight, I must say!"

Liberty's Edge

The Tiefling smiles broadly at Liran, his bi-coloured eyes fixed on the elf. "Is what I've heard-tell about so many elves true, that the extended lifespan has led them to have interests beyond a single person or even gender?" He says, his voice gentle and mildly flirtatious.

Liberty's Edge

~liran ver`ha~

The elf chuckles and nods, "It is indeed true. I have personally had my fair share of races and individuals. Only one child from it though. A precocious little imp she is but I do love her dearly."

Taking a deep drink, he continues, "Live 126 years, you do get bored."

Liberty's Edge

Erkos grins, his chin tendrils quivering and the tip of his powerful tail twitching slightly. For a split second he licks his lips, and eyes the elf. "Now that is some very good news." He says, chuckling.

Silver Crusade

Into the room storms a blonde haired elven woman, decked in an elegent cassock of golden and red cloth with a symbol of the Goddess Sarenrae on her back. At first glance, all appears to be well, but upon futher investigation minor things are out of place. There are some scorch marks on her sleeves; her hair appears to be ready to fall from its elaborate updo; and mud covers the hem of her outfit.

Scanning the occupants, her pupilless gaze quickly hones in on the other full elven man in the room. Letting out a annoyed snort, she makes quick work of the distance between herself and Liran. Placing a hand on Liran's shoulder, she smiles sweetly at the tiefling Liran is talking to. "Hello, do you mind if I borrow my brother for a moment? I have some matters that I wish to discuss with him, that are of the up-most importance."

Liberty's Edge

~Liran Ver'Ha~

Turning at the touch on his shoulder, Liran smiles broadly, "The matter cannot be too important, unless Menel has had another idea! You have finally decided to join us lesser beings in a social gathering! I am so very proud of you my sister."

Leaning back over, he winks at the tiefling, letting him in on the joke.

"Now, my dear sister, what is your poison? I would gather a guess of...water?"

Liberty's Edge

The Tiefling grins disarmingly at the elven woman. "I wish my own sister were so protective of me, instead of assisting those who sold me into slavery." He says, a chuckle emanating from his throat. He flicks his eyes over the young elven woman. "Were you in a fight, Ma'am? Or have cart drivers become far more impolite over the years?" His voice is easy, and it seems he adds the honorific only because he has decided that he thinks she'll like it.

Grand Lodge

"Well, there was this cart drive back in Mendev...thought with his hands. I dispensed him of any such notions concerning my person."

Liberty's Edge

At Sheliantha's court'sey, Sichelgaita rises and bows deeply to both Sheliantha and her lyrakien companion. "I'm incredibly glad we met, and I too hope that our mutual duties allow for passing more time together. "

She turns back in time to see the interchange between Liran, Erkos and Gla'hel - the latter two of whom she inclines her head in greeting. "The roads are certainly more dangerous than they used to be," she observes, on seeing Glathel's somewhat dishevelled appearance. "Though surely it'd be a brave - or stupid - bandit who tangled with a cleric."

Silver Crusade

Rolling her eyes at Liran's jab at her personality, Gla'thel refuses to bite. "I have never been a ma'am or a madame, but thank you for the attempt at being polite. I am just Gla'thel. I am not a magpie for titles, unlike my dear younger brother here." Patting Liran on the pauldron, her eyes flicker to the half elven man and the female paladin.

"I wish it was the roads that I have to worry about. No, Liran's..." Pausing to search for the right phrase in Taldane, Gla'thel weighs her words carefully. "bestial companions are not getting along as well as one would hope. His newest bond is attempting to eat his oldest and I've been playing interference."

Furrowing her brows, Gla'thel has a flash of recognition. "Oh and Menel's gone and joined the Bellflowers. Did you have anything to do with that?" As she abruptly addressed last question to the Knight-Captain. Frowning slightly, she removes her arm from Liran's shoulder give him a concerned look.

Liberty's Edge

~Liran Ver'Ha~

"That older bit is somewhat contested I might say." the elven man interjects.

Liran then blinks somewhat confusedly about his companions not getting along.

"Baelonna? We came here together." Pausing, he puts his drink upon the bar top and steps outside for a few moments.

Returning, he is running a hand through his long hair, "Well it appears Baelonna may have flown back to the farm. Can't say I am too worried. Baelonna and Telathar have been going at it when they can. Telafar is far from helpless though. That old warhorse knows a thing or too, and Baelonna is young. She will learn. I will speak to her when we return though."

Grabbing his drink, he takes a deep gulp of its contents.

"As for Menel, she has always done what she pleases. Whether we know of it or not. Proud of her for joining the Bellflowers though. Doing some good for those pour souls in Cheliax."

Holding up his drink he chuckles, "Heres to some ruffled Hellknight feathers, and to a few aristocrats who have to retrieve their own sugar for their drinks."

Liberty's Edge

Erkos grins. "I am sure that they would be happier that the bellflowers took their prisoners, and not my dearest father." He laughs at a personal joke.

Its so hard to tell with mammals.

Sczarni

Corvus you can tell the humans apart? How does that work?

Grand Lodge

"It's the eyes you need to look at."

Silver Crusade

Sheliantha eases her way to stand next to Kyros, and looks to the elf and tengu with a dazzling smile. Her long, lustrous brown hair sways behind her back, hilighting the royal blue of her dress where the collar of the halter passes behind her neck. The tattoos that cross her much-exposed skin reek of ancient things, the stylized thassilonian script almost seeming to come to life. As she comes to a stop next to the cavalier, her long, split skirt swirls back into place, now covering her long, toned legs.

"Really, gentlemen? There is difficulty in distinguishing between a hero of many battles, showing the hard-earned scars from weapons brandished by the enemy, and a mere slip of a varisian girl? I assure you, we don't look all that similar..."

Her smile flashes again, lighting the room, and, oh yes, her eyes. The blue-within-blue, no whites to be seen might be familiar to to a wizard or magus who uses magic to see the world around him.

Sczarni

Kyros do you have a twin?

Liberty's Edge

"I tell mammalsss apart by their hair color, hair length, and sssometimesss clothing. It would probably be easssy for two humansss with short, brown hair to fool me by trading armor with each other. I'm glad other hair colorsss are more common here in the Inner Sssea region than on my native Tian Xia."

Grand Lodge

"As a matter of fact, Telessar, I do. Sort of. Half brother named Nigel Stomson, after my stepfather. We're spitting images, except for the fact that he's human. And it's really only the one, Sheilantha. Magic works wonders."

Sczarni

So that isn't your twin?

Grand Lodge

"No. It's pretty strange, actually."

Grand Lodge

In walks a shorter (5'3") Half-Orc. Phillip sits in the corner and begins softly, mindlessly tapping his drum.

Liberty's Edge

The door opens and in comes a tall man in a well worn Andoran uniform. A new looking set of Captains bars adorn his collar. He walks up to the bar and orders black tea and rum. After getting his drink he turns around and leans against the bar. He pushes his tricorn hat back and says "I can't believe they went and made me a bloody officer."

Liberty's Edge

(Avoiding officer training school) Always remember to volunteer last, so you're not so eager. Taking two steps back while the other step forward is also a good play. Be sure to win at cards only once every other night. Winning too many times in a row get's you promoted (and dead.)
