Thayn, unfortunately First Steps can only be played with first level characters. So you can either reassign that GM credit or play a different 1st level character (or a pregen).

Had an excellent holiday, unfortunately it's forgotten so soon after starting at work again. I just managed to stumble upon this thread at the right time ;-)

Hope you guy's managed to deal with the dungeon without me...

And a spoiler warning: I have GM'ed First Steps 1 a few months ago. Off course I will separate character knowledge from player knowledge.

Ah shoots, I completely forgot about the level cap. I have a sorcerer I was building last night that would be an interesting addition to the group, I believe. I'll run with him.

I'll try to post with him tonight for review.

I'm going out tonight, so I don't have the time to make Chronicle sheets right now. However, I should be able to get the next game thread up before I leave, and I will report your successful mission ASAP. :)

Garret, I'll get you to join the next game since I believe Nicolae is still away on vacation. If he comes back in time, well, we can always have 7 people, no big deal. First Steps I is much more about social interaction and puzzle solving than fighting, anyway.

Okay, here's Thayns replacement. I know the formatting is a mess, but I think all the important stuff is in there. I didn't want to slow things down too much, while I clean up his background.

Things I notice:

- I don't think you've specified which element you picked for your bloodline or what school you picked for Spell Focus
- Jolt is not legal for PFS play
- You have one too many 1st-level spells known

A thought:
- Judging by your spell selection you've picked Air/Electricity elemental. Remember that your bloodline power allows you to change spell types to that element... so I'd pick all spells known of different types so you can get some variability in your attacks (in case of electricity immunity, f'rex) and then just use your arcana to change the type as needed!

Excellent - sorry for the mix up, I think I set the old campaign to inactive too quickly. Oh well, all's right now. Let me know when you guys are done shopping and we'll go on to the first scene (the orphanage by the sound of it).

We've got three more quests after this... my guess, unless we ALL step up our pace is no. To wrap this up we'd need to be all posting 3+ times a day... and then it would be a hard slog.

Aye, I'm not confident. It's possible, but don't count on it, unless you're all willing to post a lot more...

You could always make up a new character to play for the Game Day though :)

Discussion / talk during one of the walks

Guys, is anyone capable of using wands? You see I was given permission to use this wand that is supposed to armour an unarmoured person, but I do not see to be able to use it.

Now if one of you can use it and would be so kind to take the wand during this assignment and use it on me and Balak if we where to run into any dangerous situation that would be very helpful.

Not that I expect any trouble, but it is better to be safe than sorry.

I understood the effect has a limited duration of approximately an hour. I think we do not need it now. If there would be any danger I will trust in your judgement if an application is needed.

No use for Garret to make a Knowledge Planes check, that is why he is happily slinging away, even though it is no use with the d3 damage

Sorry for being kinda lax in IC posts lately. We're having some terrible bushfires here in Australia and, though I'm not near the most dangerous fire in the Blue Mountains, it's still been pretty stressful going lately.

Tomorrow is expected to be some pretty awful conditions; fingers crossed that nothing sparks up in my area.

Apologies on the delay. The long and the short of it is that I've been estranged from my wife for a few months while she took 3 months away. She returned today so the weekend was spent in painting, cleaning etc in prep for her home coming.

She's suitably happy (though I am bone tired from the long hours and hard work) and it seems the marriage is at least again pointed in a positive direction.

Normal game play should resume tomorrow.
