Dear Lord,
When will this madness end? Already I'm planning to sell plasma just to afford the things still on my wish lists, and this just keeps getting bigger and better. I will be a dried husk of a man, too weak to even lift this tome.
Yeah, I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am at the prospect of a full on, all out Kobold Press Adventure Path!
It's not at all guaranteed that we'll hit that stretch goal in the time remaining but ... man on man, will it ever be awesome if we do !!!
How are we going to know whether or not we're nearing that stretch goal? >.<#

* So is the Adventure Path going ahead regardless of the Deep Magic stretch goals?
* Seems odd to change the format from "x funding level/pledgers - secret stretch goal" to "secret funding level/pledgers - x stretch goal", but I'm sure that's all part of the enticement strategy.

The adventure path will go ahead *someday* regardless.
But if we hit the big finale Deep Magic stretch goals, I'll have the resources to start working on it this year rather than in another year or two.
I'm curious how all the new magic will be handled. Will the new magic (like ioun stone for example) get a small description and than we get the spells in the first or second chapter of Deep Magic or will the new magic spells be with the rest of the spells.
The $100K stretch goals are virtually assured - man, I hope we hit the mystery number for the AP!

Well, I did send a mail to my group to get them to invest, even if only a small sum, in the project to reach that very same goal. If enough current backers do the same, we just might reach it.
Which would make it a bit of an Odyssey.

That's a great idea! If everyone who has backed this e-mails everyone in their gaming group(s) about Deep Magic ... and if even only a couple of those folks backed themselves, we would reach many (or even all) of those stretch goals!
And, keep in mind - some of those goals (including the Adventure Path) are backer goals, not monetary goals, so every new backer in these final hours counts!

I'm loving the Wild magic and Kobold magic goals. But what the hell is the point of a stretch goal if they don't tell you what the goal is? That's hardly really a "goal" is it? It's more like a pre-election politician's empty promise.
@Fabius, the cost of the final product has increased as it went from softcover to hardcover, and as the page count has increased. It will be a minimum of $40 for the Deep Magic hardcover. We'll have a better sense of the final price when the Kickstarter portion is over, but it won't be any less than that. I don't think the hardcover price will go over $50 at retail.

End, I know exactly how you feel. I can't afford it but I am up to $80 due to all of the great things coming from the stretch goals.
We'll see how twitchy Amanda is after a couple of months. :)

Oddly, the hidden goal thing was a suggestion from a backer. I'm still of two minds about it, but I love to experiment. So we're trying it out.
At least one of those goal numbers will be revealed once we hit the Ioun Stone Magic goal.

Even as I sit here in Atlanta waiting for a delayed connecting flight back from PaizoCon, I am fully steeled for how much potential this project has to continue to grow. If one can remain steeled while simultaneously doing a happy dance about how badass this book will be. :D
People are starting to look at me weird.
There is a benefit:
•iPad, iPhone, and Android reference app for all Deep Magic spells

Someone asked about a Windows phone, too. I think the answer's been "Unfortunately, no."
The issue has been a lack of resources (no one to do the coding conversion) rather than an unwillingness to support the platform.

I'm right there with you guys. I upped my contribution because of all the stretch goals. I need to take a break from kickstarter, but people keep putting up such cool things!

Not sure if it's in the cards or not, but I would love to see some new preperation rituals like those introduced in Ultimate Magic.

Yep, $105,000 goal has been reached and the esteemed Creighton Broadhurst is contributing to Deep Magic! Creighton is a talented and stand up guy and I'm thrilled he's going to be involved!
And ... those final few goals are all within reach. Just over 24 hours to go ... and I really, REALLY, REALLY want to hit that BIG, final Kobold Press Adventure Path goal!!!!!!

That's actually a very clever way of doing it as it assures that there will be an audience for the other parts of the adventure path (especially if it's amazing, which given the talent it could be).

We only need another 200 or so new backers to reach the 2,014 goal which unleashes the first-ever Kobold Press Adventure Path! Multiple volume story arch, awesome authors, awesome cover art ... pretty much awesome all around!!!
So get the word out to all of your gamer friends! Send them the link to the Kickstarter - every new backer counts, even if it's only for a couple bucks!
It will not be easy, but I think we can get 200 new backers in these final 11 hours - I know we can :)

Art announcement: Tony DiTerlizzi is in for a small piece in Deep Magic. This makes me very happy.
Also: we are just $500 away from the Doom Magic for anti-paladins. Which will make GMs happy and will make players cry. :)

Ben Wootten Confirmed for Deep Magic!!!
I think I'm as excited about having Ben Wooten involved as I am to have Brom! :)
Ben will most likely be doing the illustration that will accompany Ed Greenwood's short story, Awakening the Deep Magic which is very cool!
Also ... we continue to inch toward that 2,014 Backers goal and the Kobold Press World Serpent Adventure Path!
